A cozy, inviting, and beautifully decorated cottage (60 m²), featuring a sitting area downstairs (sofa and 2 chairs), a TV with Netflix and NLZiet, a kitchenette with an induction cooktop, a combination oven-microwave, a kettle, toaster, a drip coffee maker, and a Nespresso (compatible) machine. There’s also plenty of tableware and all the kitchen essentials you’ll need. The same room features a dining table with 4 chairs. There is ample lighting, including both general and ambient lighting. In the stairwell closet, you’ll find cleaning supplies, a fly screen, and emergency lighting. The upper floor consists of one large, L-shaped bedroom with two double beds, suitable for parents with children, two friends, or people who prefer to sleep separately. Adjacent to this is a bathroom with a toilet, a shower stall (80x80), a vanity, a towel rack, and heating. In front of the house, you’ll find a spacious patio with a seating area, dining table, and BBQ. The ground is covered with fine (small) pebbles, combined with flower beds and herb gardens. The pool is located in the garden.
Nature and surroundings
Right next to the property, you’ll find a forest with various hiking trails and routes. The cottage is fairly secluded, surrounded by nature, offering plenty of peace and space. Dark, starry nights and plenty of sunshine during the day. In the woods, you can spot deer, foxes, wild boars, and hares. And, of course, an abundance of birds and all kinds of insects. Within a 60-km radius, you’ll find the cities of Limoges, Poitiers, and Angoulême, perfect for shopping and visiting museums. In Ruffec (20 minutes) and La Rochefoucauld (25 minutes), there are large supermarkets; the nearest supermarket (Carrefour Contact) is just 10 minutes away, in Champagne-Mouton. There you’ll also find a bakery, a pharmacy, a bank with an ATM, restaurants, and outdoor cafes. Nearby attractions include castles, canoe trips, small rivers, and more. This cottage is adjacent to another cottage and our own home. In addition to your own terrace, you’re welcome to freely use the large garden, and you’re always welcome on our terrace for a drink or a snack.
