A Kota is a wooden cottage (originally bbq hut) in which you can relax. Our Finnish Kota is in a beautiful clearing in the forest, with its own terrace. In the cozy Kota you will find a narrow double bed (120x200), a dining table with two stools, a bench and a kitchenette with a two-burner stove. The Kota does not have its own bathroom but about 60m away is a nice hot shower and two toilets that are part of our small campsite.
Nature and surroundings
Those staying here may feel like they are at the end of the world, but nothing could be further from the truth. The villages of Saint Ciers sur Gironde and Mirambeau, located respectively 5 and 8 km. from the nature house, offer large supermarkets, stores and even terraces, as well as the artisan butcher and baker. Those who want bigger can go to Blaye or Jonzac, half an hour away. These historic towns offer stores, cafes and supermarkets as well as places of interest. Large markets are held there, selling everything a person could possibly need, from clothing and bedding to homemade jams and oysters of all shapes and sizes. About 70 km away, the beautifully refurbished center of Bordeaux, Cognac with its renowned cognac distilleries and the historic center of Saintes are well worth a visit. If you want a day at the sea, you can take the magnificent Route Verte to Mescher-sur-Gironde (45 km) or the seaside resort of Roy
