The entire area around us—and our property in particular—is teeming with nature and open space. We’re surrounded by beautiful lakes with beaches, as well as the cities of Angoulême, Cognac, and Limoges. The romantic cottage, located on our charming and natural property with a pool and fire pit, features a private terrace with sweeping views. The house boasts authentic features and is tastefully decorated. Ground floor: living room with open kitchen, access to the bathroom (shower, toilet, bidet, sink, and linen closet), French doors opening onto the terrace. Equipped with air conditioning and heating. Upstairs: a spacious bedroom with a double bed (160x200), a dresser, a built-in closet, and a sofa. At the back of the bedroom is access to the small bedroom with a double bed (140x200, suitable for 1 adult or possibly 2 small children). This room is accessed through the master bedroom. There is also a door leading to the nursery (baby crib 60x120; a toddler bed can be provided upon request) with a sink. Patio: with a dining table, chairs, lounge beds, and a parasol in the garden.
Nature and surroundings
In our village of Mazières, you’ll be immersed in peace and open space. Limousin cows in the pasture, visiting the farmer to feed Tom the donkey with apples from our own garden... Beautiful walks through gently rolling countryside, with a stunning lake and beach nearby. Farms everywhere and little to no traffic. You can also set out from the property to explore delicious dining options, fun day trips, flea markets, and lively village festivals, all while enjoying nature. Lein has great suggestions for things to do and would be happy to make a reservation at a good restaurant for you. Chill out in a hammock on a balmy evening in one of the gardens … or on your own terrace, lying on a comfortable lounge bed with a glass of wine, looking out over the valley… Life is good on our property!
