My refuge. Those who love simplicity combined with authenticity and beauty have come to the right place. Our cottage overlooks a vast landscape, UNESCO World Heritage Natural Park Monviso, and is adjacent to a small Italian farm with a few cows, chickens, etc. Maria's little dogs will welcome you upon arrival. Immerse yourself in the peace and space that Piedmont offers, with beautiful nature and fantastic views, at both sunrise and sunset: a palette of colors that is different every day. Experience the real, authentic Italian life with fantastic cuisine and ditto wines. Enjoy atmospheric villages, markets and good affordable restaurants in the region. There is also plenty to do for the more active, including hiking and cycling. The beach is 40 minutes away by car. With a well-equipped kitchen, pool, enclosed garden with many seats and fruit trees, as well as views of the hazelnut plantations, it is pleasant to stay.
Nature and surroundings
There is much to see and do in the area. Visit one day the major cities of Milan, Turin or Genoa or enjoy the many small villages and towns in the immediate vicinity, such as Alba (40 min), Asti (50 min) and Acqui Terme (40 min). Every day there is a market somewhere, including the weekly markets in Alba and Acqui Terme and antique markets in Alessandria. There are several supermarkets, a bakery and many small stores in Cortemilia (15 min.). On Friday mornings there is a market. Rent an e-MTB bike and explore the beautiful, green and hilly area while cycling through vineyards and hazelnut plantations. Or go wine tasting, there are many options in the vicinity. Several hiking trails start almost directly from our house. The beach is about 40 minutes by car, with Noli as our favorite seaside resort with clear water and a fine pebble beach. In winter the nearest ski resort is Mondovi at approx. 1.15 hours by car.
