At this unique beautiful place in Zeeland Flanders overlooking the water and nature reserve 'Het groot Eiland' you can unwind. On the terrace, facing south, of 50 square meters, it is great to relax. It feels like being in the middle of nature. The penthouse is bright, comfortable and stylishly decorated. You go from the hall with a staircase to the penthouse where everything is on one level. There is a living room with open kitchen with breakfast bar, a bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub and rain shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and also from there you look over the water and nature. There are always birds to admire. From the window on the street side you look out over the polder, in the evening you can see the sunset there.
Nature and surroundings
The terrace offers a beautiful view of the water and the nature reserve. There is peace and quiet and space in abundance. The area offers opportunities for walking, cycling and fishing. The Scheldt is 10 km away.The Flemish cities of Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges are, by car, half an hour away and pleasant to visit.The fortified town of Hulst is about 7 km away. Hulst is one of the most complete fortified towns in our country. The beautifully restored city walls, bulwarks and city gates were constructed during the 80 years war. The 3.5 km walk along the ramparts gives views of the fortress and city moat.The Verdronken land van Saeftinghe is the largest brackish water salt marsh in Western Europe. You can walk there, although sometimes it is more like walking the mud flats. Just across the border is the Verbeke Foundation, an indoor and outdoor museum with surprising exhibits. The cities of Middelburg and Vlissingen can be reached in 30 minutes by car via the Westerschelde tunnel.
