Nature house in Harich

In the middle of nature, a fantastic place with good bike storage and charging point from which you can also make beautiful bike rides. The cottage is luxurious and attractive and complete. The owners are very friendly and very helpful.

Midden in de natuur, een fantastische plek met goede fietsenstalling en laadpunt van waaruit je ook mooie fietstochten kan maken. Het huisje is luxe en sfeervol en compleet. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam.

What a warm welcome and there was even cake for us! A lovely place, everything needed is available. The cottage is beautifully finished, comfortable and cozy. A place where you can really unwind and certainly worth repeating.

Wat een warm welkom en er was zelfs gebak voor ons! Een heerlijke plek, alles wat nodig is is voorhanden. Het huisje is prachtig afgewerkt, comfortabel en sfeervol. Een plek waar je echt even tot rust kan komen en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Gaastland (Friesland) is absolutely fantastic for cycling and also very pleasant for older people. We (both > 64 years) have visited the beautiful villages and towns in the area by bike, wonderful the cycle path network with junctions and maps that guide you through the most beautiful routes, safe and without fear of car traffic. We really enjoyed our stay (despite 2 days with an autumn storm). As we are regular visitors to the Netherlands, we can only confirm that the region around Harich and Balk is one of the highlights in Friesland and the whole of Holland - the region where the Dutch themselves go on vacation.

Das Gaastland (Friesland) ist für Unternehmungen mit dem Fahrrad absolut traumhaft und auch für ältere Menschen sehr angenehm. Wir (beide > 64 Jahre) haben die schönen Dörfer und Städte der Umgebung per Fahrrad besucht, wundervoll das Radwegenetz mit Knotenpunkten und Karten die einen durch die schönsten Strecken führen, sicher und ohne Angst vor dem Autoverkehr. Wir haben den Aufenthalt (trotz 2 Tagen mit Herbststurm) sehr genossen. Da wir regelmäßig in den Niederlanden sind, können wir nur bestätigen, dass die Region um Harich und Balk eines der Highlights in Friesland und ganz Holland sind - die Region eben, in der die Holländer selber Urlaub machen.

House, not cottage, very nice and quiet and located in very pleasant surroundings. You can tell that Anja and Melle have thoughtfully and lovingly renovated and redesigned the accommodation. There is nothing missing in the house, air conditioning, heating, a great bathroom and a kitchen next to the spacious living area that is equipped with all desirable appliances. We received a friendly and open welcome from the hostess, who showed us around the house and familiarized us with everything. We were able to store our two bicycles and of course charge them - there was even a lockable shed available, but it is unlikely that anyone other than a deer or cat would pass by at night. This hospitable house is highly recommended, only people with disabilities will not like it. The access is a nice but rough paved path and in the house itself you have to climb a typical Dutch steep staircase to the bedroom.

Haus, nicht Häuschen, sehr schön ruhig und in sehr angenehmer Umgebung gelegen. Man merkt, dass Anja und Melle die Unterkunft mit Überlegung und viel Liebe renoviert und neu gestaltet haben. Es fehlt an keiner Einrichtung im Haus, Klimaanlage, Heizung, ein tolles Bad und eine Küche neben dem großzügigen Wohnbereich die mit allen wünschenswerten Geräten ausgestattet ist. Wir wurden von der Gastgeberin freundlich und offen begrüßt, durch das Haus geführt und mit allem bekannt gemacht. Unsere beiden Fahrräder konnten wir gut unterstellen und selbstverständlich auch aufladen - sogar ein abschließbarer Schuppen stünde zur Verfügung, aber es ist nicht anzunehmen, dass nachts jemand anderes als ein Reh oder eine Katze dort vorbeikommt. Dieses gastfreundliche Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen, lediglich Menschen mit Handikap werden es nicht mögen. Der Zugang ist ein schöner, aber rauh gepflasterter Weg und im Haus selbst muss man eine typisch holländische, steile Treppe zum Schlafzimmer hochsteigen.

Going down the stairs is a little tricky for someone with big feet - but that's the only downside.

De trap af is een beetje lastig voor iemand met grote voeten - maar dat is dan ook het enige minpuntje.

In a word: a wonderful house.
