The Nature house is located in the middle of a mixed pine forest 7 km from the idyllic small town of Hitzacker on the Elbe. You can enjoy extensive "forest bathing". Because trees emit health-promoting substances, so-called terpenes, the healing powers of nature have a special effect in the forest. We would like to invite you to come to rest far away from the stress of everyday life. That's why we combine "forest bathing" with "digital detox" (no wifi). Our television (TV) is the forest and when you look out of the window or sit comfortably on the terrace, you can watch birds and squirrels feeding. This is relaxing. You live in a 68 square meter Finnish log cabin, equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, a new bathroom and a modern pellet stove, which provides a pleasant warmth. Skylights ensure that the house is flooded with light. In summer, the forest is like air conditioning and makes the heat bearable.

The Nature house is located in the region "Wendland" and in the biosphere reserve Elbtalaue, which is known for its extensive Elbe river landscape, the popular Elbe cycle path and great excursion destinations for hiking and cycling (bicycles can be rented in Hitzacker) all around, e.g. - the Göhrde, the largest contiguous forest area in northern Germany also with larger heath areas, especially beautiful in August when the heather is in bloom. Roland July 23, 2025 General rating:We really enjoyed our vacation in the forest hut. To switch off from the hectic everyday life, wonderful nature observations around the hut and on the Elbe. A good starting point for cycling and hiking tours. Very nice contact with the landlord. We would love to come back.
Uns hat der Urlaub in der Waldhütte sehr gut gefallen. Zum Abschalten vom hektischen Alltag, wunderbaren Naturbeobachtungen rund um die Hütte und an der Elbe. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrrad- und Wandertouren. Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
