Nature and surroundings
The Nature house directly on Ellertshäuser See is centrally located in the middle of Germany, nestled between the Steigerwald forest to the south, the Hassberge mountains directly behind it and the biosphere reserve to the west. The vibrant cities of Würzburg, Bamberg, Coburg, Neustadt and Schweinfurt are in the immediate vicinity. The nearest small town is Hofheim in Lower Franconia. The Nature house is located directly in the vacation home settlement on Lake Ellertshausen and is easy to reach by car, but it is also easy to get here by public transport. We recently had guests from Munich who did just that. Nature pulsates all around us. The landscape is characterized by dense forests with increasingly organic fields and meadows, whether you are hiking, cycling, jogging, swimming or simply enjoying yourself in one of the typical beer gardens or inns in our region. You will want for nothing, except perhaps the noise of speeding cars.
