The house is built with solid materials, little brutal, basic style which we really like. Kitchen has everything you need, only the gas fire is a bit outdated though. Summers are hot though, despite the thick walls and shady trees around it doesn't really cool down at night if there is no wind, so you have to be able to stand the heat a bit (no air conditioning). We had a pleasant experience with the owners who also stayed on the property and respected our privacy, but were also always approachable. When we had a flat tire, we were even allowed to borrow their car :-)

Het huis is gebouwd met degelijke materialen, beetje brute, basic stijl waar wij erg van houden. Keuken heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, alleen het gasvuur is wel wat verouderd. Zomers zijn wel warm, ondanks de dikke muren en schaduwrijke bomen rondom koelt het 's nachts niet echt af als er geen wind is, dus je moet wel wat tegen de warmte kunnen (geen airco). Wij hadden een aangename ervaring met de eigenaars die ook op het terrein verbleven en onze privacy respecteerden, maar ook altijd aanspreekbaar waren. Wanneer wij platte band hadden, mochten we zelfs hun auto lenen :-)

We traveled with our family with children and a second family with children. The cottage is large with many bedrooms and beds. It is located far away from civilization, in the middle of nature. Peace, space and fauna and flora abound. You can make day trips to the sea (1h), Sienna (1h), villages nearby, Florence (2h). Blessed large and pleasant saltwater pool to cool off. Necessary bread in the hot summers. There is a small, pleasant restaurant 10 minutes away. We especially enjoyed the peace, the place, the view, lots of reading and swimming. The road to the house is a bit of a challenge: unlit, with loose stones and wildlife in the bushes (foxes, wild boars) but doable. An oasis of peace far away from civilization. A little further on though a hotel too, before that the only cars occasionally pass by the house.

Wij reisden met ons gezin met kinderen en nog een tweede gezin met kinderen. Het vakantiehuis is groot met veel slaapkamers en bedden. Het ligt ver weg van de bewoonde wereld, midden in de natuur. Rust, ruimte en fauna en flora te over. Je kan daguitstappen doen naar zee (1u), Sienna (1u), dorpjes dichtbij, Firenze (2u). Zalig groot en aangenaam zoutwaterzwembad om verkoeling te zoeken. Broodnodig wel in de hete zomers. Op 10 minuutjes rijden is er een klein, aangenaam restaurantje. Wij hebben vooral genoten van de rust, de plek, het zicht, veel gelezen en gezwommen. De weg naar het huis is een beetje een uitdaging: onverlicht, met losse steentjes en wild in de struiken (vossen, everzwijnen) maar is wel te doen. Een oase van rust ver weg van de bewoonde wereld. Iets verderop wel een hotel ook, daarvoor passeren de enige auto's af en toe voorbij het huis.
