The Bakhuisje or "simmerwenning" as they call it in Friesland, is connected to our monumental head-hull farmhouse but completely free to reach. At the rear you have an unobstructed view over the fields and you have a lovely terrace.The cottage is in 2024 on the inside almost completely renovated and insulated.You enter a living-dining room with new kitchen with dishwasher, large fridge with freezer and an induction stove.Downstairs there is a bedroom with a comfortable twin bed and closet space. There is also a bathroom with toilet, bathtub, separate shower and sink. Upstairs there is a small but very cozy bedroom with two single beds. On the first floor there is also a combined washer and dryer, but the stairs are steep so less suitable for people with mobility problems.
Nature and surroundings
Nijemirdum is located in the Frisian Gaasterland which is characterized by a rolling landscape on the IJsselmeer with forests and fields. The surrounding area is ideal for wonderful excursions by bike or on foot.
