Nature house in Durbuy

Our overall experience with the nature house was very pleasant. The cottage is spacious, cozy and fully equipped. You notice that much attention has been paid to comfort and atmosphere, making the stay feel immediately familiar. The cottage is light and spacious and offers a nice view of the surroundings. The balcony is a nice addition and invites you to sit outside, although we did not use it due to the snow. A point of attention is that the cottage is noisy. Sounds from downstairs can be easily heard upstairs, which can make sleeping more difficult when not everyone goes to bed at the same time. Other than that, we found the stay to be comfortable and complete. The cottage is practically furnished and ideal for socializing.

Onze algemene ervaring met het natuurhuisje was erg prettig. Het huisje is ruim opgezet, gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Je merkt dat er veel aandacht is besteed aan comfort en sfeer, waardoor het verblijf meteen vertrouwd aanvoelt.

Het huisje is licht en ruimtelijk en biedt een mooi uitzicht op de omgeving. Het balkon is een leuke toevoeging en nodigt uit om buiten te zitten, al hebben wij daar door de sneeuw zelf geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Een aandachtspunt is dat het huisje gehorig is. Geluiden van beneden zijn boven goed te horen, wat het slapen lastiger kan maken wanneer niet iedereen tegelijk naar bed gaat.

Verder hebben wij het verblijf als comfortabel en compleet ervaren. Het huisje is praktisch ingericht en ideaal voor een gezellig samenzijn.

The area is quiet and spacious and the view from the house is beautiful. During our stay there was snow, which added to the beauty and made for a particularly atmospheric landscape. What I found to be a downside is that there are no hiking trails through the forest. Hiking is really only possible across the cottage park itself. That park is entertaining to walk around on due to the motley collection of different cottages, but it can't really be considered a nature walk. For real walks you have to take the car.The house is spacious, cozy and furnished with great care. Everything you need is there and it feels comfortable and homey. However, the house is quite noisy. If there are still people downstairs chatting or playing games, you hear this clearly back upstairs, which can make sleeping difficult. All in all a nice and comfortable stay with a beautiful view, but with a few points of attention to take into account.

De omgeving is rustig en ruim en het uitzicht vanuit het huis is prachtig. Tijdens ons verblijf lag er sneeuw, wat het geheel extra mooi maakte en zorgde voor een bijzonder sfeervol landschap.

Wat ik als minpunt heb ervaren, is dat er geen wandelroutes door het bos zijn. Wandelen is eigenlijk alleen mogelijk over het huisjespark zelf. Dat park is door de bonte verzameling aan verschillende huisjes wel vermakelijk om een rondje over te lopen, maar het kan niet echt als natuurwandeling worden gezien. Voor echte wandelingen moet je de auto pakken.

Het huis is ruim, gezellig en met veel zorg ingericht. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en het voelt comfortabel en huiselijk aan.

Wel is het huis behoorlijk gehorig. Als er beneden nog mensen zitten te kletsen of spelletjes doen, hoor je dit boven duidelijk terug, wat het slapen kan bemoeilijken.

Al met al een fijn en comfortabel verblijf met een mooi uitzicht, maar met een paar aandachtspunten om rekening mee te houden.

Very convenient website, we have used it several times now. The site is very easy to search for a vacation home, plenty of explanations. Also the communication and refund of the deposit is very good!

Zeer handige website, we hebben deze nu al meerdere malen gebruikt. De site is zeer makkelijk om een vakantiehuisje te zoeken, voldoende uitleg.

Ook de communicatie en het terugstorten van de waarborg verloopt zeer goed!

Beautiful cottage about 6 kilometers from the old center of Durbuy. Nearby (+/- 2 km) there are several stores. The cottage was clean and equipped with all comforts. It is very quiet and a perfect base for excursions, also for cyclists and / or hikers is ideally located. However, there is 1 (for us) big minus; namely, the house is very noisy. On the upper floor are 3 bedrooms and 1 toilet. The 3 rooms are next to each other and are very noisy, you can hear everything, from a very creaky floor, to creaking beds, a visit to the toilet, everything. You can hear EVERYTHING, upstairs you can hear what is said and done in the living room (floor below) and vice versa, in terms of isolation, this is definitely better!


What also bothered us was that on the day we wanted to leave the house (you can stay until 10:30 a.m.), at 9 a.m. the cleaning lady was already at the door, admittedly in her car but that still gave the impression that we had to continue. For the rest everything was great!

Prachtig huisje op een 6 tal kilometer van het oude centrum van Durbuy. In de omgeving (+/- 2 km) zijn er verschillende winkels aanwezig.

Het huisje was proper en van alle comfort voorzien. Het is zeer rustig gelegen en een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor uitstappen, ook voor fietsers en/of wandelaars is het ideaal gelegen.

Er is echter 1 (voor ons) groot minpunt; nl. het huisje is zéér gehorig.

Op het bovenverdiep zijn 3 slaapkamers en 1 toilet. De 3 kamers liggen naast elkaar en zijn zéér gehorig, je hoort alles; van een zeer krakende vloer, tot krakende bedden, een toiletbezoek, alles.

Je hoort er ALLES, boven hoor je wat er in de living (verdiep eronder) wordt gezegd en gedaan en omgekeerd, qua isolatie kan dit zeker beter!


Wat er ons ook stoorde was dat op de dag dat we het huisje wilden verlaten (je mag er blijven tot 10u30), om 9u reeds de poetsvrouw voor de deur stond, weliswaar in haar wagen maar dat gaf toch de indruk dat we voort moesten gaan.
