February 2022 we took a walk in an area where we had not been before and we found that area so beautiful that we both thought, "Imagine living in here." And yes, six months later we moved in! The house is very quiet and is about 100 m from the sea as the crow flies. Therefore, you often smell and hear the sea and it is cooler in the summer. It is located on a dead end road and on the edge of the Ria Formosa. The only thing you hear are the birds and once an hour (and not at night) a train passes by. The Apartment is together with the House part of Ritmo do Mar and has its own entrance and terrace and thus has maximum privacy. Only the garden and the roof are shared.

The Ria Formosa is a tidal area 60 km long between Faro and Cacela Velha. You can walk from our house into the nature reserve via the Ecovia to Praia dos Cavacos within 15 minutes or you can cycle to Praia da Fuseta Ria within 15 minutes. There are many beautiful islands with beaches off the coast, such as Ilha do Farol and Ilha da Culatra (which together actually form one island), Ilha da Armona, Ilha de Tavira and Ilha de Cabanas and Ilha da Fábrica. Boats (or boats) leave from Fábrica, Cabanas, Tavira, Quatro Aguas, Fuseta, Olhão and Faro to the islands
