February 2022 we took a walk in an area where we had not been before and we found that area so beautiful that we both thought, "Imagine living in here". And yes, six months later we moved in! The house is very quiet and is as the crow flies about 200 m from the sea. Therefore, you often smell and hear the sea and it is cooler in the summer. It is located on a dead end road and on the edge of the Ria Formosa. The only thing you hear are the birds and once an hour (and not at night) a train passes by. Together with the Apartment, the house is part of Ritmo do Mar. It has its own entrance and terrace and therefore has maximum privacy. Only the garden and the roof are shared.
Nature and surroundings
The Ria Formosa is a tidal area 60 km long between Faro and Cacela Velha. You can walk from our house into the nature reserve via the Ecovia to Praia dos Cavacos within 15 minutes or you can cycle to Praia da Fuseta Ria within 15 minutes. There are many beautiful islands with beaches off the coast, such as Ilha do Farol and Ilha da Culatra (which together actually form one island), Ilha da Armona, Ilha de Tavira, Ilha de Cabanas and Ilha da Fábrica. Boats (or boats) depart from Fábrica, Cabanas, Tavira, Quatro Aguas, Fuseta, Olhão and Faro to the islands
