Nature house in Lachau

Surrounded by mountains, deciduous trees, springs, and a babbling brook, this colorful vacation home is situated in a wide valley at an elevation of 700 meters, where summers are pleasant, there are few mosquitoes, and the nights remain wonderfully cool. The spacious house features a superbly equipped kitchen and is surrounded by a large, natural, fenced-in garden with various terraces in both sun and shade, a private pool and hot tub, and plenty of space for children to play and explore. You can cook and enjoy meals together using the pizza oven, various barbecues, a paella pan, and a crêpe maker. The spectacular Gorges de la Méouge, with beautiful natural swimming spots, are also just a short distance away. The village of Lachau is just a 10-minute walk away. There you’ll find a cozy bistro serving delicious food and hosting a charming Provençal market on Saturdays. The free parking lot is spacious enough for 8 cars.

The vacation home is nestled in the picturesque surroundings of the “Parc naturel des Baronnies Provençales.” It borders the lovely lavender fields of the Drôme and Vaucluse, as well as the rugged mountain ranges of the Hautes-Alpes and Haute-Provence. Endless hiking and biking trails lead you past lavender fields, meadows full of poppies, and wildflowers. In picturesque villages, you’ll find delicious local products at the market. After taking in all the breathtaking views, it’s wonderful to have a picnic at the Gorges de Méouge by the azure-blue river, with its idyllic blue-lagoon spots. This area is still relatively unknown to tourists, so you’ll rarely come across anyone on your hikes. The low-traffic region, with its many lesser-known mountain passes, is also a paradise for cyclists. The climb up Mont Ventoux is the icing on the cake. There are two paragliding schools in the area. And there are also beautiful horseback rides to enjoy. Orpierre is an internationally renowned climbing village with 600 kilometers of climbing walls.
