This Nature House is a luxury B&B and writing retreat. There is peace, there is space, there is a view. Moreover, you get time. you are welcome from as early as 10:00 am and may stay until 4:00 pm on the day of departure. Writing cottage "Kandel" is specially equipped for people who want to work on a (writing) job undisturbed and comfortable. There are good office chairs behind two electrically operated sit-stand desks and there is a (curved 32-inch) monitor that can be connected to your laptop, there is high-speed internet. There is also a "boiling water" faucet, a nespresso machine, a small refrigerator and an oven/microwave. There are affordable restaurants within biking distance (to borrow), but if desired and by agreement I serve a two-course dinner (19 euros) in the room. In principle, I also serve breakfast in the room itself. Writing Cabinet Kandel generously measures fifty-five square meters excluding the terrace.
Nature and surroundings
This writing cottage is located in the outskirts of Lievelde in the Achterhoek. Cars passing in front of our farm have to pass us or our neighbors at the last address on the dike. The main road to Groenlo is only accessible to cyclists, moped riders and walkers. For example, during a writing break, walk through the Koolmansdijk nature reserve - literally around the corner. There are also the church paths, narrow paths between meadows. Get writing inspiration by walking from the B&B completely unpaved to Zieuwent and beyond, or back again. Bicycles (you may borrow) can also be used. For example, the field cross at the beginning of our dike is on the bicycle route "Along Churches, Crosses and Chapels" and is one of many. Lazing, no, let's say reflecting in the orchard may also (just bring your own hammock), or watch -with a little luck- in the evening and/or morning twilight the deer.
