SUMMER SPECIAL! In July and August, we only rent by the midweek, €75/night! Are you looking for a place where you can go on plenty of hikes and enjoy long summer evenings? Then our small and cozy chalet is perfect for a stay with 2 adults and 2 or more children! You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and step right into the woods! After a day in nature, you can completely unwind in our cozy cottage. When the weather’s nice, you can barbecue outside and eat at the picnic table. On cool evenings, light a fire in the wood stove. (Firewood and charcoal provided) There’s a sitting area with a TV, DVD player, and CD player. A dining area for 4 people, a kitchenette with an electric stove, and a small microwave. You can make coffee with a Nespresso machine or a French press. The bathroom has a tub/shower, toilet, sink, and hair dryer. There is 1 bedroom with a double bed + double comforter + 2 pillows, and 1 bedroom with a bunk bed + 2 comforters + 2 pillows. Please bring your own bed, bath, and kitchen linens!! Hiking maps and an information folder are waiting for you!
Nature and surroundings
Our chalet is located in a small, wooded vacation park, which features a small playground and a few animals. You can play table tennis and petanque in the park. It’s a 15-minute walk to the village of Oignies, where you’ll find a butcher, a small grocery store that sells bread, and places to eat. Several marked hiking trails start from the park. We had a wonderful hike, encountered few to no people, in winter it seems quiet. Lots of wide trails and beautiful paths along sparkling streams. ( with an area along the way where beavers live! Did not see beaver itself but did see the felled trees in the water).
