Our chalet is ideal for a stay with 2 adults / + 2 children! You wake up between the trees, and walk straight into the forest! After a day in nature you can completely relax in our cottage -without WIFI-! In fine weather you can bbq outside and eat at the picnic table. There is a sitting area with TV, DVD and CD player. A dining area for 4 people, a kitchenette with electric stove and small microwave oven. Coffee can be made with a Nespresso or press coffee. The bathroom has a bath/shower, toilet, sink and hairdryer. There is 1 bedroom with a double bed + double comforter + 2 pillows, 1 bedroom with a bunk bed +2 comforters + 2 pillows. We provide toilet paper, household roll, washing-up liquid, oil and spices. You bring your own bed linen, kitchen linen and bath towels!!! Hiking maps and a folder with info are waiting for you!

Nature and surroundings

Our chalet is located in a small, wooded vacation park, where there is a small playground and some animals. There is possibility to play ping-pong and petanque.In 15 minutes you can walk to the village of Oignies, where there is a bakery, butcher, small grocery store and eateries.From the park some marked walks start.Oignies-en-Thiérache belongs to the municipality of Viroinval, which includes 8 picturesque villages. It is part of the Viroin-Hermeton Natural Park, known for its many gorges, limestone hills and endless forests. In each village you will find a map with marked walks! The French border is nearby. Along the Meuse you can go cycling or visit one of the numerous towns (Fumay, Givet, Hastière, Dinant). Also Fondry des Chiens, the caves of Neptune, the steam train in Mariembourg or walking with the donkeys in Treignes ... are all worthwhile! Your stay will be too short to discover everything!
