Welcome to this gem in the Dordogne. With a large private pool of no less than 10x5 meters and its own defined and private 6000 m2 grounds, this is the perfect place to relax. The 16th-century tower is a small, cosy home, carefully restored by artists and craftsmen and the former owners. All the stairs in the tower, and the kitchen and bathroom furniture are handmade from ash wood, inlaid with other hardwoods, creating a unique vacation home. A great place to stay: an idyllic retreat for two. The tower is designed to enjoy a vacation for two; from the outside it looks small, but everything is there: a kitchen with all amenities, separate toilet, a bathroom with bathtub, a bedroom with beautiful authentic ceiling and a nice loft to enjoy watching movies when the weather is not so good. And of course the pool is a must all to yourself.
Nature and surroundings
Forest walks & bike rides. The chestnut forest and the small roads around the tower are wonderful hiking areas; there are hiking maps in the tower. Or you can rent/make a bike and cycle a little further afield. The area is hilly; the towns of Perigieux and Bergerac are fun to visit. The market in Issigeac on Sundays is colorful. Prehistoric life in the Dordogne; there are numerous beautiful caves, cave paintings, troglodyte houses, museums and the Lascaux World Heritage Site for those interested in this fascinating era of early human history. Halfway to Vergt is a "Plan d'eau" - an artificial lake with boats and picnic areas. Those who enjoy kayaking or canoeing can rent them on the Dordogne River near Bergerac, or take a trip on a traditional riverboat.
