Nature house in Lohn GR

Our self-sufficient mountain pasture settlement (hut & barn) is located in the heart of Graubünden on the San Bernardino Route at an elevation of approximately 1,360 meters above sea level. in the Beverin Nature Park (just 10 minutes from the A13 Zillis/Andeer exit and only 200 meters off the Schamserberg Road between the villages of Fardün, Mathon, and Lohn). There are no other inhabited cabins in the vicinity. Guests have this idyllic natural setting all to themselves. A charming, newly renovated, and freshly furnished cabin in the “tiny house” style, featuring a kitchen/dining area, living room, bathroom (with toilet and shower), and an entryway/hallway/staircase. On the upper floor is the fully equipped kitchen with a wood-burning stove (including an oven), two gas burners, running water, a refrigerator, a wood-burning stove, and a seating area. The adjoining (living) room features a double bed and a sofa (bed); an additional sofa (bed) can be added if needed. Lower floor (heated by a pellet stove) with entryway, hallway, stairs to the upper floor, and bathroom (with shower, toilet, and sink).

Thanks to a tankless water heater, the cabin has running hot water, and thanks to solar panels and a water turbine, it also has electricity for lighting, mobile devices, and e-bike batteries. From the kitchen, you can step out onto the scenic patio, which features a lounge area, dining table, grill, and fire pit. In front of the barn is a well with water from its own spring and firewood. Sports equipment, etc., can be stored in the barn. The valley beyond the Viamala Gorge, home to the famous church in Zillis, is a natural paradise (hiking, biking, trail running, cross-country skiing, sledding, ski touring, wellness, gourmet dining) very close to the (Grau) Grisons hotspots: by car to Davos (1 hr) / St. Moritz (1.5 hrs) / Lenzerheide (3/4 hour) / Flims/Laax (3/4 hour) / Chur (1/2 hour). Thanks to its proximity to the A13 highway to/from Ticino/Italy, it’s an ideal place to stop.   In the summer, the Maiensäss can also be rented more affordably as a campsite (with your own roof tent or van) or by using only the lower floor (bathroom) (in winter, upon request).
