Nature house in Lohn

Our self-sufficient Maiensäss (hut & stable) is located in the middle of Graubünden on the San Bernardino route at approx. 1360m above sea level in the Beverin Nature Park (only 10 minutes from the A13 exit Zillis/Andeer and only 200m off the Schamserberg road between the villages of Fardün, Mathon and Lohn). There are no other inhabited huts in the area. Guests are on their own in this idyllic natural setting. A tasteful, freshly renovated and newly furnished cottage in the Tinyhouse style with kitchen/dining area, (living) room, bathroom (with WC/shower) and entrance/hallway/stairs. On the upper floor is the fully equipped kitchen with wood stove (incl. oven), two gas hobs and running water as well as fridge, wood stove and sitting area. In the adjoining (living) room there is a double bed and a sofa (bed), another sofa (bed) can be added if required. Lower floor (heated with pellet stove) with entrance area, hallway, stairs to the upper floor and bathroom (with shower/WC/washbasin).

Thanks to the instantaneous water heater, the hut has hot running water and, thanks to solar panels and a water turbine, electricity for lighting, mobile devices and e-bike batteries. From the kitchen you can access the panoramic seating area with lounge, dining table, barbecue and fireplace. In front of the barn there is a well with water from our own spring and wood for fires. Sports equipment etc. can be stored in the barn. The valley after the Viamala gorge with the famous church in Zillis is a nature paradise (hiking, biking, trail running, cross-country skiing, sledging, ski tours, wellness, gourmet) very close to the (Graubünden) hotspots: by car to Davos (1 hour) / St.Moritz (1.5 hours) / Lenzerheide (3/4 hours) / Flims/Laax (3/4 hours) / Chur (1/2 hour). Thanks to its proximity to the A13 to/from Ticino/Italy, it is an ideal place for a stopover. In summer, the Maiensäss can also be rented as a camp (with its own roof tent or bus) and only use of the lower floor (bathroom) at a lower price (in winter on request).
