Everything you could possibly want is here. Comfortable beds, with separate sleeping areas for the kids. A spacious outdoor kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals. A lovely pool to cool off in after a day out, or to swim under the starry sky in the evening. The lovely owners, Bernadette and Pieter, offer all kinds of tips for day trips in the area.

Alles voorhanden wat je je kan wensen. Goede bedden, met voor de kinderen aparte slaapplekken. Een ruime buitenkeuken voorzien van alles om zelf te koken. Heerlijk zwembad om na een dagje uit te kunnen afkoelen, of om 's avonds onder de sterrenhemel te zwemmen. De lieve eigenaren Bernadette en Pieter geven allerhande tips voor uitstapjes in de omgeving.

We stayed at the cottage for 12 days in August with our two adult children. We drove from Valencia to the cottage in a rental car. After turning off the main road, there’s just a short stretch down a narrow road, and then you arrive at the cottage, surrounded by nature. It’s wonderfully quiet here, especially after the hustle and bustle of Valencia, with a beautiful starry sky at night (we even saw shooting stars!). The property is spacious. In addition to the house where we stayed and slept, there’s a separate outdoor kitchen with an attached sleeping area, plus an extra wooden cabin with another sleeping area inside. There are several charming old towns in the area, accessible via good roads with little traffic. It’s also just a 40-minute drive to the sea and the beach. We went on two hikes, starting right from the property, and then cooled off in the lovely pool.

Wij verbleven in de maand augustus 12 dagen in het huisje met onze 2 volwassen kinderen. We zijn met een huurauto vanuit Valencia naar het huisje gereden. Nadat je bent afgeslagen van de hoofdweg is het nog een klein stukje over een smalle weg, waarna je aankomt bij het huisje, midden in de natuur. Het is hier heerlijk stil, zeker na de drukte van Valencia, met 's avonds een prachtige sterrenhemel (ook vallende sterren gezien!) Het terrein is ruim opgezet. Naast het huis waar wij verbleven en sliepen is er nog een aparte buitenkeuken met daaraan vast een slaapplek, plus nog een extra houten huisje met daarin nog een slaapplek. In de omgeving zijn een aantal leuke oude plaatsjes te vinden, te bereiken via goede wegen met weinig verkeer. je bent ook met 40 minuten rijden bij de zee en het strand. We hebben ook 2 wandelingen gemaakt, gestart vanaf het terrein, om daarna weer af te koelen in het heerlijke zwembad.

A truly wonderful place in the heart of unspoiled Spanish nature and culture! Wonderfully peaceful and with stunning views. My three daughters (ages 17–22) and I thoroughly enjoyed this charming spot and the beautiful, clear, clean pool. The evenings by the illuminated pool under the rising full moon were magical, as was Pieter’s sound session in the water. There are several beautifully furnished seating areas and lounge chairs for relaxing, reading, having a drink, or playing a game. Or for watching the sun rise over the hills and the pool in the early morning, hearing nothing but the birds and the church bells. The house has three different sleeping areas, all of which are nicely furnished, very clean, and equipped with comfortable beds. I slept in the little wooden cottage at the back of the property; it was wonderful to wake up there feeling completely relaxed every single day. The large, perfectly equipped private outdoor kitchen and spacious outdoor shower really gave us that outdoor and vacation vibe. Hats off to the oasis you’ve created there!

Een écht heerlijke plek te midden van ongerepte Spaanse natuur en cultuur! Heerlijk rustig en met schitterende uitzichten. Mijn 3 dochters (17-22) en ik hebben vol genoten van deze sfeervolle plek en van het mooie, heldere, schone zwembad. De avonden in het verlichte zwembad met de opkomende volle maan waren magisch, evenals een klanksessie in het water van Pieter. Er zijn meerdere mooi ingerichte zitjes en ligstoelen om te relaxen, te lezen, borrelen, of een spelletje te spelen. Of om in de vroege ochtend de zon boven de heuvels en het zwembad op te zien komen en niets anders te horen dan de vogels en de kerkklokken. Het huis kent 3 verschillende slaapplekken en allen zijn fijn ingericht, erg schoon en met goede bedden. Ik sliep in het houten huisje achter op het terrein; elke dag weer heerlijk relaxt wakker worden daar. De grote perfect uitgeruste privé buitenkeuken én ruime buitendouche gaf ons echt een buiten én vakantiegevoel. Chapeau voor de oase die jullie daar gecreëerd hebben!

I’m still missing this beautiful place! It’s very spacious and truly surrounded by nature; you get there via an adventurous little road that you quickly get used to. It’s just a few minutes’ drive to the village of Useras, where we were lucky enough to experience the festival week and see Bernadette perform with the village band. They gave us tips on charming villages in the area (including Vilafamés, which has a lovely museum and a good restaurant), and we drove parts of the so-called “swing route” ourselves (swings at impressive viewpoints). A truly beautiful, unspoiled Spanish setting! The sea is easily accessible. The same goes for Valencia, which we didn’t visit because of the heat—but also because it was so wonderful to stay at the cottage and enjoy the pool. Bernadette and Pieter are truly approachable, friendly people—a pleasure to interact with—and very helpful with lending us items, letting us use the washing machine, giving our daughter a birthday gift, and providing tips on the area. Communication from the Netherlands was also pleasant and personal, with very clear explanations about everything.

Nog steeds heimwee naar deze mooie plek! Heel ruim opgezet en echt midden in de natuur; je komt er via een avontuurlijk weggetje dat snel went. Een paar minuten rijden naar het dorpje Useras, waar wij het geluk hadden de feestweek mee te maken en Bernadette te zien optreden in de dorpsharmonie. We hebben tips van hun gekregen voor mooie dorpjes in de omgeving (oa Vilafamés, met een mooi museum en goed restaurant) en hebben zelf delen van de zgn schommelroute gereden (schommels op indrukwekkende uitzichtpunten). Hele mooie ongerepte Spaanse omgeving! De zee is prima te bereiken. Evenals Valencia waar wij niet geweest zijn vanwege de hitte, maar ook omdat het zó heerlijk verblijven was bij het huisje/zwembad. Bernadette/Pieter zijn echt toegankelijke, vriendelijke mensen, fijn in het contact, ook heel behulpzaam met spullen lenen, gebruik van wasmachine, cadeautje jarige dochter en tips van de omgeving. Ook het contact vanuit NL verliep fijn/persoonlijk; met erg goede uitleg over alles.

It was a very beautiful setting in the middle of nature, mountainous. Also the cottage was very pleasant, clean and the outdoor kitchen adds an extra dimension.

Het was een heel mooie omgeving middenin de natuur, bergachtig. Ook het huisje was erg aangenaam, schoon en de buitenkeuken geeft een extra dimensie.
