On the border between Antwerp and Limburg, there are wonderful places in the green like this one, where sometimes you only hear the birds singing, the soft hum of a glider in summer or the crackling of the stove when it is colder. The serenity and simplicity of the chalet, the beautiful light of the forest, you immediately come to rest. No unnecessary luxury, but everything you need for two or just for yourself. Energy from solar panels, water from the ground and from the sky, furniture and furnishings recycled or sustainably handmade. The chalet has a surface area of 30m2 with a kitchenette with gas fire, water from the pump, also hot water, and all utensils necessary for a stay with 2. The heating is with the wood stove. There is a separate shower/bathroom separated by a wall and a closed toilet. The sleeping and dining area is separated by a wooden furniture.
Nature and surroundings
You are on a private property in the beautiful Keiheuvel area of Balen. You can do endless walks from the site. There are infinitely many beautiful places in the immediate vicinity and you can also ride your own bike. Cycling along the canal towards Mol or Leopoldsburg, cycling in the trees at Lommel, Olmen, Meerhout. Nature is all around you here and you can feel the tranquility when you drive up the central road on arrival. Deer, woodpeckers, they look around the corner. In this area there is something for everyone, everything is close by but you are just as well away.
