INCL ONTBIJT! This (family) room for 5 is located in a historic farmhouse on the river Waal, cycling distance from Nijmegen. Here you can hear the birds singing, the trees rustling, you have beautiful views and cycling over the dike into the city or the Betuwe. An ideal location between city and country. The room is one of the two rooms in our b&b the Danenberg. The b&b is located in the back house has its own entrance, a large common room and a large square/terrace with picnic tables, benches and a fire pit. This room (the former hayloft) is on the second floor and is spacious: it has its own sitting area, bathroom and two sleeping alcoves, one of which can be closed with a door. This room can accommodate 5 people (one person on sofa bed). We also rent another room next door. It is also possible to rent both rooms including common room and spacious kitchen. Please contact us.
Nature and surroundings
On and around the b&b there is plenty to see and do. The farm itself is surrounded by an ancient moat and many (fruit) trees. Outdoor cats, chickens and goats are present, as well as an annual pair of storks in one of the old oaks on the dike. Pheasants, swallows and owls also fly around, and due to nature-friendly management, many insects find ideal shelter here. And the view of the Waal never bores.In the vicinity are beautiful walks through the floodplains and estates Oosterhout and Loenen. Beach park Slijk-Ewijk is nearby. Cycling is also plentiful, in the Betuwe, along rivers, to Nijmegen or beyond. In the summer there is a bicycle ferry from Slijk-Ewijk to Beuningen, so you can make a nice round trip to Nijmegen.

Alie General rating:De Danenberg is een fantastische accommodatie waar je lekker tot rust kunt komen. De ontvangst is hartelijk en je wordt als gast heel goed verzorgd tijdens het verblijf.

Annelie General rating:Heel fijn natuurhuisje! Prachtige locatie, mooie kamers en faciliteiten, lieve en meedenkende gastvrouw. Houd er rekening mee dat de woonkamer en keuken gedeeld zijn. Dichtbij Nijmegen en goed bereikbaar.

Wendy General rating:Dit Natuurhuisje is een heerlijke plek, je kunt zien dat het met aandacht en liefde is ingericht.
Bij aankomst was de houtkachel aan, overal kaarsjes. Heel sfeervol.
In de ruimte beneden staat een platenspeler, zo leuk om weer eens een lp te draaien.
Verder een zeer gastvrije ontvangst, een goed verzorgd ontbijt, fijne bedden, ideale uitvalsbasis voor een dagje Nijmegen maar ook voor uitstapjes in de natuur. Echt een aanrader.Nature, peace & environment:Mooie weidse omgeving met mogelijkheid om te wandelen door de uiterwaarden.
