INCL ONTBIJT! This (family) room for 5 is located in a historic farmhouse on the river Waal, cycling distance from Nijmegen. Here you can hear the birds singing, the trees rustling, you have beautiful views and cycling over the dike into the city or the Betuwe. An ideal location between city and country. The room is one of the two rooms in our b&b the Danenberg. The b&b is located in the back house has its own entrance, a large common room and a large square/terrace with picnic tables, benches and a fire pit. This room (the former hayloft) is on the second floor and is spacious: it has its own sitting area, bathroom and two sleeping alcoves, one of which can be closed with a door. This room can accommodate 5 people (one person on sofa bed). We also rent another room next door. It is also possible to rent both rooms including common room and spacious kitchen. Please contact us.

Nature and surroundings

On and around the b&b there is plenty to see and do. The farm itself is surrounded by an ancient moat and many (fruit) trees. Outdoor cats, chickens and goats are present, as well as an annual pair of storks in one of the old oaks on the dike. Pheasants, swallows and owls also fly around, and due to nature-friendly management, many insects find ideal shelter here. And the view of the Waal never bores. In the vicinity are beautiful walks through the floodplains and estates Oosterhout and Loenen. Beach park Slijk-Ewijk is nearby. Cycling is also plentiful, in the Betuwe, along rivers, to Nijmegen or beyond. In the summer there is a bicycle ferry from Slijk-Ewijk to Beuningen, so you can make a nice round trip to Nijmegen.

Nice website, and the cottage you rent is absolutely beautiful and clean.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

We had a wonderful time—a truly lovely stay. The owners were incredibly friendly; we highly recommend this place. The room and common areas were beautiful and tidy, and we slept very well. And every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, prepared with lots of love and care. If we ever go back to the Betuwe, we’d love to stay there again.

Heel fijn natuurhuisje! Prachtige locatie, mooie kamers en faciliteiten, lieve en meedenkende gastvrouw. Houd er rekening mee dat de woonkamer en keuken gedeeld zijn. Dichtbij Nijmegen en goed bereikbaar.
