A restored stable on a 17th century farmstead, in the hinterland of the coast. Ideally located, between Bruges and Ostend, bordering the Meetkerk polder. You stay in a detached cottage, consisting of one room (including wood stove and kitchen under the mezzanine) with adjoining bathroom. There is a spacious garden with reed bed, fire pit and terrace, where the view over the polders is endless. By bike and car you are 8 km from the center of Bruges.
Nature and surroundings
The farm is remote and adjacent to the nature reserve "Meetkerkse moeren", in winter the arctic geese perch here and you can hear the cackling from your bed. The GR5 runs in front of the door, there are numerous hiking and cycling routes in the region. The picturesque polder villages of Houtave, Stalhille, Nieuwmunster and Meetkerke are nearby. Bruges and Damme as tourist attractions, are a welcome change! A little further away are the Zwin and the coast.
