Off grid house the Old Pigsty is a back-to-basic cottage on the Moon View Farm. It is an old pigsty converted into a hiker's cabin. The old elements are still in it. The walls are leached with clay from our polder. There is intentionally no electricity, lighting comes from candles or oil lamps that are present. Equipped with a wood stove (wood costs €15/basket = purchase price), plenty of seating inside and outside and there is a full inventory for cooking. You bring your own sleeping bag, toiletries and towels. The sleeping platform is for 4 pers. You can cook oldschool on a tripod over fire (BBQ or Dutch Oven). You can also use a full kitchen with electricity in our garage. There is a compost toilet and an outdoor shower with hot water. Ideal for a retreat, reflection or a "back-to-basic" experience, for example. A maximum of one dog is welcome. However, please be leashed on the property and allowed to do their needs off site.

Ideally located for nature lovers in a quiet place between Biervliet and Hoofdplaat in the polder of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen 4 km. from the Westerschelde. Located next to a traditional cheese farm.On site is a garden room, a permaculture garden, a vegetable garden and food forest in development and many herbs.Terrain and stay is unsuitable if you have difficulty walking.There are many walking and cycling routes along the sea, dunes, forest and cozy villages. It is possible to cycle outside the dike to Breskens, where you can take the bicycle-foot ferry to the island of Walcheren (Vlissingen, Middelburg). Maybe you can spot a seal on the Scheldt.The coastline is still quiet and authentic and has beautiful luxury beach pavilions.Beautiful nature reserves are: Het Zwin and closer at 5 km. distance the forest nature reserve the Braakman. Interesting places for bird watchers.Beautiful historic cities in the area are Sluis, Bruges and Ghent.
