Since 2018, our extremely popular vacation home, the Green Escape, has been located in an old orchard. On the same 2,150 m² lot, but at a sufficient distance, this nature house—suitable for up to 4 people (74 m²)—has also been available since the summer of 2024. The cottage is nestled against the woods, offering a stunning view of the vast Lake Ivö. It features two beautiful, sunny terraces with pleasant shaded areas as well. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, and more. Feedback from our guests: “The ultimate retreat in the heart of nature / breathtaking views / stunning location / complete peace and space / deer and roe deer literally in the garden / beautiful hikes in the area / swimming within walking distance.” The rental of this new house includes the use of a 2-person (or possibly 3-person) canoe in the small harbor of Vånga.
Nature and surroundings
A selection of comments from our guests: "Beautiful surroundings: lakes, forests, and farmland / Plenty of space and peace and quiet / Beautiful nature reserves and forests close to the house / Beaches, castles, and charming harbor towns just a short distance away / We went on some wonderful hikes and even found fossils / The Baltic Sea is also nearby, and the forests are very beautiful / There are great canoe trips and good hiking trails / Both dense forests and a beautiful coastline are nearby / A fantastic seafood restaurant / Beautiful bays and beaches." From various towns, you can take a small ferry to visit many beautiful islands in the Baltic Sea. Southern Sweden has wonderful summers, by the way, with temperatures usually ranging from 20 to 25 degrees.

Plenty of hiking opportunities in the area
Veel wandelmogelijkheden in de omgeving
The cottage is lovely and has plenty of space. There’s also a nice patio around the cottage and plenty of places to sit. The view of the lake is very beautiful. There are lots of trees and greenery all around. The starry sky is magnificent on clear nights. The owners are friendly and helpful.
What did bother us, though, was the outdoor construction work on the surrounding properties. Maybe we just had bad luck, but for 1.5 weeks, we were woken up around 7:30 a.m. by the sound of chainsaws, which didn’t stop until around 3:30 p.m. Because of that, we weren’t able to spend a nice day sitting outside in the garden reading a book. And that was a shame.
This text is automatically translated. -

Space, peace and light of the environment are experienced optimally in the vacation home due to its exceptional design and decoration. For us a top experience.
Peace and quiet are strikingly present, both around the cottage and in the wider surroundings. No hindrance from traffic, agricultural activities or intensive recreation. Scattered varied natural areas with rich flora and fauna. Fascinating view from the nature house(s) on the lake.
