Waking up with only birdsong, having breakfast in the rising sun, or dreaming away by a crackling fire. A stone's throw from the city of Groningen, on the edge of a medieval village with an old monastery church and yet completely surrounded by nature.... That is Ark van Thesinge, where you will find a beautiful spacious and cozy attic suite in a 150-year-old Groninger farmhouse with old beams, creaking stairs and wooden floors. But at the same time with all the conveniences you desire from a luxury B&B. Good beds, lovely bathrooms, lots of privacy. Ark van Thesinge is an oasis of silence, beauty and peace. Our breakfasts are organic and vegetarian and much comes from our own vegetable garden. The bread is freshly baked sourdough and the eggs come from our own chickens.The loft suite is in 75m2 and consists of 2 rooms. There is a lovely king-size box spring and two twin beds in the second room. The rooms are only rented together.

Ark van Thesinge is surrounded by beautiful nature. We have a large and rich vegetable garden in our yard and if you are looking for a quiet place you can easily run into a deer or a hare. With a little luck you can spot the kingfisher or the common tern by the canal next to our house. The hen harrier hunts over the fields and at night owls and bats fly around the farm. A paradise for the true nature lover, at night you can see the stars very clearly. There is little light pollution, it is really quiet and you see no power pylons or windmills nearby. There are beautiful walks and bike rides to make across the Groninger countryside. And if you want to go a little further, you can easily reach the Wad or the Lauwersmeer area, both world famous nature reserves and very interesting for birdwatchers. We can advise you on wonderful days out.
