Enjoy a pleasant walk through the woods, a long bike ride, or relaxing in the hammock or the wood-fired hot tub. Our studio, located on our property and nestled among the trees, was built in 2023 and is fully furnished for two people. The bedroom features a double bed (160x210 cm) and plenty of storage space for clothes. The bathroom is equipped with a vanity unit, toilet, and rain shower. Bath and bed linens are included. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes an electric stovetop, a dishwasher, a combination microwave, a Nespresso machine, a kettle, and a refrigerator. Coffee and tea are included, as are kitchen linens. The studio is heated and cooled by electricity (air conditioning). Outside, you’ll find lovely spots among the trees, where the luxurious wood-fired hot tub is also located. You can use this by arrangement and for an additional fee (€40 for the first time and €25 for each subsequent use, including bath slippers and bath towels).

From our property, you can walk directly onto the (forest) trails managed by Staatsbosbeheer, leading to the forests and beautiful estates of Oranjewoud. There are several scenic hiking trails to explore from this location. The property borders a canal (Prinsewyk). From our dock, you can fish, canoe (there’s a canoe rental nearby), or stand-up paddleboard (please bring your own board). The area is also perfect for bike rides through this beautiful part of Friesland with its stunning landscapes and charming villages. The location is centrally situated near Heerenveen. Other larger towns, such as Sneek and Leeuwarden, are also easily accessible. A short bike ride away is the Belvédère Museum in Oranjewoud. Thialf is also easily accessible (a 20-minute bike ride).
