Nature house in Herl

The cottage was exactly as described!

It's a beautiful spot in the woods. Lots of privacy. A really nice yard for the dog.
The house is basic, with a comfortable bed, a nice view, and it stays nice and cool in this heat.
The only thing we missed was a comfortable chair outside to relax or read in.

Het is mooie plek in het bos. Veel privacy. Hele fijne tuin voor de hond.
Het huis is basic, goed bed, mooi uitzicht en lekker koel huis met deze hitte.
We misten alleen een lekkere stoel buiten om in te chillen of lezen.

A very nice and well kept house, it was very clean when I arrived and there were not even spiders, quite good for a house in the forest. The walls and windows are very thin so you can hear everything from outside. The only thing you can hear though is birdsong and the occasional cow so that's very nice, and especially in the morning you are gently woken up by birdsong. The facilities otherwise were quite basic, no TV, gas stove, but that's exactly what was in the description and that's what I booked and it was a very nice, pristine life there. The dog also enjoyed romping around on the large natural property. Sleeping there was not quite as comfortable on the futon so only 9 points. The pull-out sofa was too small to sleep on but perfect for lounging around on. The landlords also put a normal mattress in a room which was also quite small so I slept on the futon, you get used to it quickly.

Ein sehr schönes und gepflegtes Haus, es war sehr sauber als ich angekommen bin und es gab nichtmal Spinnen, schon gut für ein Haus in Wald. Die Wände und Fenster sind sehr dünn also hört man alles von draußen. Das einzige was man jedoch hört ist Vogelgezwitscher und ab und zu eine Kuh also das ist sehr schön, und besonders morgens wird man sanft von Vogelgezwitscher geweckt. Die Ausstattung sonst war recht einfach, kein Fernseher, Gasherd, aber genau das stand in der Beschreibung und das habe ich gebucht und es war ein sehr schönerls ursprüngliches leben dort. Der Hund hat es auch genossen auf dem großen naturüberlassenen Grundstück umherzutollen. Das Schlafen dort war nicht ganz so gemütlich auf dem Futon deswegen nur 9 Punkte. Das ausziehbare Sofa war zu klein zum drauf schlafen aber perfekt zum drauf rumlümmeln. Die Vermieter haben auch eine normale Matratze in einen Raum gelegt die aber auch recht klein war deswegen schlief ich auf dem Futon, man hat sich schnell gewöhnt.

The house is in the middle of the forest in a hilly landscape. During my week in the house I didn't see a single person and I also went for long walks in the adjacent forest. Unfortunately, the neighboring house can be seen from the living room at a distance of about 20m, wherever there is one, but I rarely heard him and never saw him because of leaves on the trees, so this is bearable but not 100% alone.

Das Haus liegt mitten im Wald in einer Hügeligen Landschaft. In meiner Woche im Haus habe ich keinen einzigen Menschen gesehen und ich bin auch lange im anliegenden Wald gewandert. Nur leider ist das Nachbarhaus vom Wohnzimmer aus in ung. 20m entfernung zu sehen wo auch immer einer ist, jedoch habe ich ihn nur selten gehört und wegen Blättern an den Bäumen nie gesehen also das ist auszuhalten aber nicht 100% Alleinlage.

Unfortunately, the water heating didn't work for me because one of the sockets didn't work. Otherwise, everything I needed was there and it was cozy and individually furnished!

Leider ging bei mir die Warmwasserbereitung nicht, da eine Steckdose nicht ging. Ansonsten war alles da, was man benötigte und war gemütlich und ganz individuell eingerichtet!

It was absolutely idyllic in the Nature house, falling asleep to the sound of birdsong and waking up again! Unfortunately, the neighbors are a bit close and you're not quite as undisturbed as you'd hoped. You can always hear the stream gurgling below the house and the walk along it is wonderful. Only the way there is a bit adventurous, just like the way to the house from the road! But it worked!

Im Naturhäuschen war es absolut idyllisch, mit Vogelgezwitscher einschlafen und wieder aufwachen! Leider sind die Nachbarn doch ein wenig nah und man ist dadurch nicht ganz so ungestört wie erhofft. Den Bach unterhalb vom Haus hört man immer schön gluckern und auch der Spaziergang entlang ist wunderschön. Nur der Weg dort hin ist ein wenig abenteuerlich, genauso wie der Weg zum Haus von der Straße aus! Aber es ging!
