The house has a nice living room with a corner sofa, 2 chairs and a large dining table. The kitchen is small, but fully equipped for extensive cooking. All box springs are complete and made up wonderfully clean. The bathroom consists of a rain shower, a washbasin with illuminated mirror and the only toilet in the house. The toilet is separated from the shower by a wall. This has not been a problem for us and for 95% of our guests. But I mention it so you can factor this into your consideration... There are also over 30 bath towels. There is also a washing machine and a drying rack. In the spring and summer period the house with the living space outside is suitable for max. 10 guests, in the fall and winter when you are more inside anyway, my advice is to book with max. 8 guests. I often hear from my guests that the house is so fully equipped ... and I think it is. (Almost) everything you need is there and may be used!
Nature and surroundings
From the French doors you enter the covered terrace and a lovely large garden surrounding the house. On the private parking lot you can easily park 4 cars. There is also a waterfront deck with a lounge bench. In the shed are fishing rods and inflatable water attributes. Nearby you can rent a sloop, which you can dock at the decking. There is a garden set, a fire bowl, 2 armchairs, a large picnic table and a fixed BBQ. In short, everything you need to enjoy the outdoors! How wonderful is it that you have your own swimming, fishing and boating water in the backyard, where you can also enjoy the rising and setting of the sun, and the beautiful Frisian clouds. Oudwoude is rural and wonderfully quiet. Really nice to relax here and enjoy the outdoors together! Nearby are beautiful natural areas, such as at Veenklooster and the Lauwersmeer area! Also nice cities like Dokkum, Leeuwarden and Groningen are not far.
