In the idyllic village of Leur lies our chalet. It is located 50 meters from the house with a beautiful view and lots of privacy. You have a veranda and private terrace facing south overlooking the meadows and a luxury jacuzzi (v.a. €50) from which you can enjoy all seasons. During the summer months the air conditioning offers you cooling while in the cold months it heats. The chalet is fully electric and powered by solar panels. There is a separate bedroom and a luxury sofa bed in the living room. In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy hiking and cycling. But also if you visit the Thermen Berendonck, Bloemenpark Appeltern or a day in Nijmegen it is wonderful to relax in our chalet. The chalet is located on the route of the Walk of Wisdom and is easily accessible, also by public transport (train station Wijchen and bus stop in front of the gate). Possibility for washing, laundry service and breakfast package.
Nature and surroundings
In the heart of the Land of Maas and Waal lies the Heerlijkheid Leur, an estate that has been privately owned since 1748. Along the swaying country roads are old linden trees, the meadows are full of herbs and clover and in the woods you can hear the woodpecker, the cuckoo and sometimes "Jeroen" the peacock. This oasis of peace and geniality is a wonderful place for walking, enjoying the old trees along the avenues and monumental buildings. In the vicinity you can walk to your heart's content. Think of the forests of Leur and Hernen and the Hatertse Vennen. The chalet is located along several long-distance hiking trails such as the Walk of Wisdom and Roots nature trail. The chalet is also located along various bicycle routes and along the walking and cycling junction network. It is beautiful cycling in the Land of Maas and Waal with its beautiful river landscape and various historic villages. The nearby hills in Berg and Dal are also worth a visit.
