Our farm is located in the small hamlet of Ettevaux in the south of the Morvan. The gite is located on the upper floor of our farm. The gite has its own entrance and beautiful views of the castle. It is a large, high living space with original oak beams and stone walls. The gite can be rented per day or for longer periods. Layout The gite is approximately 50m2. It is 1 room with sitting area with wood stove and kitchen. In the kitchen there is a 2-burner induction plate, comb-oven, filter coffee maker and kettle. There is a double bed of 160x200. The bed is made upon arrival and towels are provided. There is a private, separate bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. We do not charge cleaning costs if the gite is left as you found it.
Nature and surroundings
Ettevaux is located in the south of the Morvan. The gite is on the domaine where we ourselves also live with many animals (dogs, cats, chickens, a small herd of cows and horses). The gite has no private garden but our domaine of 17ha (of which about 1/3 forest) is freely accessible with many lovely seats, fireplace, orchard and a large vegetable garden! Over our land runs a stream so the environment is very diverse. Deer, badgers, foxes and all kinds of other animals you can encounter everywhere. From our yard you do not have to cross the road to take endless walks, you can walk straight into the woods. It is very quietly located without busy roads nearby. Also the winters here are wonderful. Regular snow or frost and if the sun shines you are also in winter outside! There is a pottery studio available and it is possible to get lessons in pottery / turning on location.
