Our small, cozy apartment with roof terrace is located on our farm in a secluded location about 800 meters from the East Frisian village of Pilsum. The family-run farm with grain cultivation, chickens, pigs, geese, rabbits and a dog is idyllically surrounded by our rapeseed and grain fields on the edge of a landscape conservation area. You can reach the North Sea dyke and salt marshes 2 km away on foot or by bike in a short time via field paths. The apartment was lovingly renovated in 2023. Located on the upper floor, it can be reached via an outside staircase and its own entrance. In the 30 m² large and open living room and bedroom there are two single beds (0.90 x 2.00 m), a sitting area and a small kitchenette with dining table. The small bathroom is equipped with a shower and WC. The apartment has a beautiful roof terrace surrounded by trees and facing the orchard.
Nature and surroundings
The village of Pilsum is a typical East Frisian village with a historic center, idyllic alleys and the imposing Pilsum cross church. The village is 2 km from the North Sea dyke with its salt marshes, the Wadden Sea and the red-and-yellow-ringed Otto lighthouse. In addition to two galleries, the Rozenburg cheese farm, a small decoration store and a studio for glass art, the "Alte Brauerei" invites you to stop for a bite to eat with seasonal and regional cuisine. The famous fishing village of Greetsiel with its twin mills is about 3.5 km from Pilsum. Our wide East Frisian landscape invites you to endless tours by bike or on foot along meadows and fields. You can get plenty of fresh air on the kilometer-long dyke, enjoy the sunset over the mudflats of the World Heritage Site or watch the many animals in the East Frisian landscape. After a long day outdoors, you can fortify yourself with a cup of East Frisian tea in one of the quaint tea rooms.
