Nature house in Munnekeburen

On the edge of nature reserve Rottige Meente in Munnekeburen, you will find our fully equipped log cabin. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a double bed (160×200 cm) and a bedroom with a bunk bed, for 2 children. We accept a maximum of 3 adults. There is a bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. The kitchen is equipped with a spacious fridge-freezer, induction hob, hot air oven, kettle and filter coffee maker. The living room has a spacious two-seater sofa, a pellet stove, a dining table with four chairs and a television. The log cabin is in our own yard, but the plot is large enough to provide privacy. In addition, there is a nice view of the nature reserve with potholes. The log cabin was built and finished in 2023 and therefore still very neat! You must bring your own linen, towels and kitchen towels. The final cleaning is also up to you. For questions, please feel free to contact us!

Munnekeburen is a small and quiet village located in the south of Friesland. It lies in the middle of nature reserve the Rottige Meente, a low moorland area, bordering the Weerribben in Overijssel. Several hiking and cycling trails take you into the peace and quiet of nature. Close by are the Brandemeer, Tjeukemeer and also the IJsselmeer at Lemmer can be reached within half an hour. A local store in the village provides local products, fresh milk and any forgotten groceries. There are several tea gardens and smaller eateries nearby. In spring and summer, you can take a sup board and explore the Scheene, which runs through the Rottige Meente. But a direct hiking and biking path will also take you there. With a little luck you will spot beautiful animals such as deer, hares, foxes, otters, storks and the rare Great Firefly....all as soon as you step out of the log cabin!
