Hiking trails are within walking distance, and you can set off right away by bike—no matter the season, there’s plenty to experience and plenty of opportunities to recharge. Our vacation home in Burgen on the Moselle offers the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway, complete with a garden sauna. You can enjoy the tranquility of nature in the forest or explore the surrounding area with its many castles, palaces, and vineyards. The Baybach Valley is within walking distance. The famous Elz Castle and the Ehrenburg Valley are also nearby. Koblenz, the city where the Moselle flows into the Rhine, is 30 km away. It was very hot during the two weeks we were there; we’d head out early in the morning and spend the afternoons relaxing in the cool house.
