Our house with chalet, stands on one hectare of private land in a village of 120 inhabitants. At 2 kilometers is the nice village Balk with a wide range of stores, restaurants and plenty of opportunities for all kinds of water sports.The garden where you stay is surrounded by trees and hedges and offers plenty of privacy. There is a canopy with a lounge area.Imagine yourself in the region of Gaasterland in a totally different Friesland. Here it is nice and "smout," or sheltered by the ancient forests. From one of the cliffs on the IJsselmeer you can see beautiful views as far as the horizon. The hilly surroundings make you almost forget you are in Friesland. Wander around in the famous Rijsterbos or visit one of the quaint villages of Gaasterland such as Oudemirdum, Balk or Sloten.
