Log Cabin in Southern Sweden Ideal as a place to relax during your road trip through Sweden, or as a base for exploring Southern Sweden. A beautiful, large lake is within walking distance, and a canoe is provided. The surrounding area offers wonderful opportunities for hiking and biking, and there are plenty of possible day trips. Staying in the cabin is “back to basics” and accommodates up to 2 people. Pets are, of course, also welcome The cabin is equipped with the following: *Bunk bed with mattresses (please bring your own bedding) *Dining area *Coat rack and a mirror *For your four-legged friends: water bowl, food bowl, leash, and crate provided. There’s a barbecue with charcoal and fire starters. Otherwise, the cabin is truly “back to basics”! There’s no running water or electricity, and you’ll use a traditional outdoor toilet. (composting toilet) (A bottle of drinking water will be waiting for you upon arrival, and a watering can is provided so you can fetch water for your pet from the nearby lake)

From the cabin, you can step right out into the Swedish countryside, where you can enjoy hiking, biking, exploring Sweden by canoe, or simply soaking in nature… with a little luck, you might even spot a moose… a nice little escape from the daily hustle and bustle. Just 300 meters away is a beautiful lake where you can paddle, fish, or swim, and there’s also a bus stop nearby. About 3.5 km away is a supermarket (where you can also stock up on drinking water); further on, there’s a gas station and a large restaurant with an extensive menu (including pizza, fries, ice cream, and much more) at Rävamålet 2.0 Fishing permits for the Älften fishing waters, among others, are available for purchase nearby, including at Carlssons Trävaru AB Bro and at the gas station/supermarket “Handlarn” in Konga. There are all kinds of attractions in the area. There is parking available at the hiker’s cabin (located on a quiet side road, about 15–20 meters behind the cabin).
