Our cottage is located in a village of Igornay in the Burgundian French countryside. It has a spacious living room and 3 bedrooms and many original style elements so typical of the houses of the region. There is a spacious garden with a lovely swimming pool behind the vacation home. Here you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. The village of Igornay, 2 km away, has a well-equipped supermarket where fresh bread is also made. Igornay is located next to the Morvan Natural Park, near the wine regions around Beaune and near all kinds of historical sites from Roman times. Just under 15 minutes drive away is Autun with many restaurants, medieval streets, Roman buildings and the weekly market in the old historic center. The prices mentioned are based on 6 persons, outside the high season an adjusted price is possible for less persons. Please contact us.
Nature and surroundings
Our house in Burgundy is close to the village of Igornay in the Saône et Loire department and borders the large park the Morvan on the west side. The village of Igornay itself has a small but excellently stocked supermarket, which is less than a 5-minute drive away. Autun and Arnay-le-Duc have several large supermarkets. Autun has a weekly market, many specialty stores and unique stores. There is also a wide selection of restaurants. Heading north is the charming town of Arnay-Le-Duc with stores and restaurants. Igornay lies at the foot of the hills of the Morvan. Just south of the house is the last ridge of hills followed by the valley towards Autun. The area is great for hiking over all kinds of terrain: from long trails to challenging hills. There are views of the countryside both in the woods and on the trails. With a mountain bike there are many trails to explore. These trails start a few hundred meters from the cottage.
