De Zilte Zeeuw is a delightful family cottage for up to six people, located in a charming converted and renovated barn. Two full-sized bedrooms for the adults and a separate children’s room with bunk beds ensure that everyone has their own space. The bright living room with an open kitchen and a dining table for nine people forms the cozy heart of the house—large enough for the whole family and a few guests who drop by spontaneously. Outside, the large communal garden awaits with a swimming pool, trampoline, zip line, and climbing net—a true paradise for children. Adults can find their own spot in the garden or on the terrace. After 10 p.m., tranquility descends on the grounds. Sometimes the peacock makes itself heard for a moment, but that’s just part of the experience. This is Zeeland as it should be: salt in the air, greenery and space to unwind.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation homes are located in a beautifully renovated barn on Noord-Beveland, surrounded by a spacious, lush garden. Just beyond the garden, you’ll find a sheep pasture and a forest. There is plenty of space to walk, play, and forget the world for a while. The communal pool, trampoline, zip line, and climbing net ensure that the children can keep themselves busy from early morning until late at night. Across the road lies Landgoed Rijckholt. There you’ll find the charming restaurant where a different themed daily menu is served every day, always with a focus on flavor and seasonality. Lake Veere is a five-minute walk away. Ideal for sailors, surfers, and swimmers. A few minutes’ drive takes you to the North Sea or the Oosterschelde beaches. The charming village of Kortgene is within cycling distance, featuring an artisanal bakery, butcher, supermarket, and the unique Bazar.
