This chalet is located on our 9-hectare private nature reserve on the outskirts of Niebert. Here, you’ll enjoy plenty of privacy thanks to its location far from the road and at a good distance from our farmhouse. A unique place to enjoy peace and quiet and nature. The property is part of the bocage landscape typical of the region and offers 2.5 km of private walking and horseback riding trails winding through meadows, copses, hedgerows, and orchards. Our Icelandic horses graze in the meadows. Our charming chalet is showing its age (doors may creak or stick a bit), but it’s fully equipped with all modern conveniences. You’ll find the beds made, and towels, kitchen linens, and toilet paper are provided. There’s a small dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and Netflix. Next to the chalet, you’ll find a trampoline and a fire pit (wood is available for a fee).

Our nature house is located in the municipality of Westerkwartier (GN), on the outskirts of Niebert/Nuis, in a beautifully varied landscape of grasslands, fields, marshy heathland, and wooded hedgerows, near the junction of Friesland, Groningen, and Drenthe. The surrounding area offers lovely walking and biking trails to the Iwema-Steenhuis or the Coendersborg Estate. The location is fantastic, we could see the deer from the cottage! Our children had a great time on the trampoline and with the play kitchenette in the cottage. There are screens everywhere, which is very nice. The shower does work annoyingly because there is a mixer tap. It rained a number of times with us, so (despite taking off shoes on the mat) you do notice that the cottage gets dirty quickly due to grass you walk in with.
De locatie is fantastisch, we konden de herten zien vanuit het huisje! Onze kinderen hebben zich heerlijk vermaakt op de trampoline en met het speelkeukentje in het huisje. Er zijn overal horretjes aanwezig, wat erg fijn is. De douche werkt wel vervelend doordat er een mengkraan is. Het regende bij ons een aantal keer, waardoor (ondanks uitdoen van schoenen op de mat) je wel merkt dat het huisje snel vies wordt door gras wat je mee naar binnen loopt.
