It was truly wonderful—the house, the room, the bathroom, the courtyard with its outdoor kitchen and plenty of shade, the pick-your-own garden, full of ripe fruit. Marij and Floris’s warmth and “hang loose” vibe. And the icing on the cake: a delightful concert in this cozy setting. (During the season, every Thursday and Sunday) We felt right at home and felt relaxation wash over us like a warm blanket. The surroundings were a pleasant surprise: little villages, the Dordogne and Vézère rivers never far away, along with charming little terraces, restaurants, and picnic spots. The best Périgord experience you could wish for!

Echt geweldig, het huis, de kamer, de badkamer, de binnenplaats met buitenkeuken en voldoende schaduw, de pluktuin, vol rijp fruit. De hartelijkheid en "hang loose" sfeer van Marij en Floris. Als kers op de taart, een sfeervol concert in deze knusse ambiance. (In het seizoen elke donderdag en zondag) We voelden ons gelijk thuis en voelden de ontspanning als een warme deken om ons heen komen. De omgeving verrassend, dorpjes, de Dordogne en Vezère nooit ver weg, net romantische terrasjes , restaurants en picknick plaatsjes. De beste Perigodijnse ervaring die je kunt wensen!

The downstairs room we rented is beautiful, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and cool, and has a great, spacious bathroom. In the courtyard, there’s a very cozy outdoor bar serving drinks, coffee, and other refreshments. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Marije and Floris are very hospitable, helpful, and friendly hosts. Communication with them is exemplary. Highly recommended!

De door ons gehuurde kamer beneden is prachtig, sfeervol ingericht, comfortabel en koel, en heeft een prima en ruime badkamer. Op de binnenplaats is een heel sfeervolle buitenbar, met drankjes, koffie en andere versnaperingen. Je kunt daar heerlijk relaxen en genieten van een heerlijk ontbijt. Marije en Floris zijn zeer gastvrije, behulpzame en gezellige hosts. De communicatie met hen is voorbeeldig. Aanrader!

A special spot in the beautiful Dordogne countryside. You can truly unwind here! This old farmhouse is an excellent base for lovely hikes, day trips through the surrounding area past picturesque villages and towns, and excellent restaurants.

Bijzondere plek in het prachtige landschap van de Dordogne. Je kunt hier werkelijk helemaal tot rust komen! Deze oude boerderij is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor mooie wandelingen, tochtjes door de omgeving langs schillderachtige dorpjes en steden, en uitstekende restaurants.

The thick walls of the house keep the heat out. Once outside, you come to the small courtyard where there’s a cozy communal kitchen with an oven and a refrigerator.
On the first evening, there was a musical performance, which was really fun and enjoyable.

Mooi gedeelte van een oude hoeve waar we verbleven. Mooie slaapkamer en idem badkamer.
De dikke muren van het huis zorgen voor verkoeling van de warmte buiten. Eenmaal buiten kom je op het binnenplaatsje waar een gezellige gezamenlijke keuken is, waar een oven en is en een koelkast.
De eerste avond was een muziekoptreden en dat was heel gezellig en fijn.

It’s wonderful how the cottages and little farms blend into the natural surroundings. The little farms are often tucked away behind a grove of trees or down a sloping path to the left or right of a narrow street.
We saw a fawn several times, even in the yard where we were staying!

Heerlijk hoe de huisjes en boerderijtjes opgaan in de natuur. De boerderijtjes liggen vaak verscholen achter een bosje of een schuin paadje naar links of rechts van een straatje.
Diverse malen een reetje gezien, ook op het erf waar we verbleven!
