The surroundings are very rural.
Our host, Otto, is very friendly
and helpful.

Het huisje is knus en van alle gemakken voorzien.
De omgeving is heel landelijk.
Onze gastheer Otto, is zeer vriendelijk
en behulpzaam.

A lovely little house built in the Saxon style, on a very spacious lot with plenty of shade and sunny spots. It’s a shame the house wasn’t clean enough: the vacuuming was sloppy, there were soap scum residue on the shower floor, the stovetop hadn’t been cleaned, etc. It’s a shame, because they really could have done better. The final rating would have been significantly higher if the cleaning had been better.

Mooi huisje in Saksische stijl opgetrokken, op zeer ruim kavel met voldoende schaduw en zonnige plekjes. Jammer dat het huis niet voldoende schoon was: met ‘ronde hoeken’ gezogen, douchevloer met zeepresten, kookplaat vergeten schoon te maken etc. Jammer, want dat echt beter gekund. Het eindcijfer had flink hoger gelegen als schoonmaak beter was geweest.

The cottage is located on the edge of a small park, with a beautiful view of the farmland beyond.

Huisje ligt aan de rand van klein park, met mooie zichtlijn op achterliggend boeren landschap.

The bedrooms were upstairs, which is a bit of a downside if you’re a bit older, especially if you need to use the restroom from time to time. It got warm upstairs quickly, but with a fan, it was perfectly manageable. Otherwise, it was fully equipped with all the amenities: a great shower, kitchen, and furnishings. The cottage also looked neat and was well-maintained. It had a cozy layout, with a sitting area, a table, and comfortable chairs. There was also a nice table and chairs outside. We really enjoyed the green surroundings—so many trees and countless bike routes. It’s also great for hiking. And there are several villages and towns in the region to visit.

De slaapkamers waren boven, dat is wel een minpuntje als je wat ouder bent, vooral als je wel eens naar het toilet moet. Boven werd het gauw warm, met een ventilator was dat prima te doen. Verder van alle gemakken voorzien, prima douche, keuken en inboedel. Het huisje zag er ook netjes uit en goed onderhouden. Gezellige indeling, een zithoek een tafel en goede stoelen. Ook buiten prima tafel en stoelen. We hebben echt genoten van de groene omgeving, zo bomenrijk op talloze fietsroutes. Ook prima om te wandelen. En diverse dorpen en stadjes in de regio om te bezoeken.

Very positive about the peace and quiet, the open space, and the natural surroundings. The cottage has a large garden with three great spots to sit. There’s plenty of shade from the trees surrounding the cottage, which is wonderful when it’s so warm. The first two nights were even a bit chilly, so the stone floor downstairs felt a little cold at first. But once it got warmer, it was ideal—lovely and cool. The cottage is in a very secluded and sheltered spot. Beautiful view over the fields.

Heel positief over de rust, ruimte en natuur in omgeving. Het huisje heeft een grote tuin waar je op 3 plekken prima kunt zitten. Volop schaduw van bomen rondom het huisje, heerlijk als het zo warm is. De eerste 2 dagen waren de nachten zelfs wat fris, dan was de stenenvloer beneden even wat koud. Maar toen het warmer werd was dat ideaal, heerlijk koel. Het huisje staat heel vrij en heel beschut. Prachtig uitzicht over de velden.
