new construction in 2021: comfortable, attractive, clean; away from the hustle and bustle. The house is on a small-scale campsite on the Westerschelde, with a beach and pavilion within walking distance. (800 meters) Other campers are well away from each other, which gives a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. In the summer vacations and weekends there is sandwich service and we regularly organize something with fresh fries, terrace and delicious pizza's. (takeaway also possible) Do you like a small-scale, relaxed atmosphere then this is for you! The house has a spacious covered terrace. The luxurious spacious bathroom has a toilet and a walk-in shower. The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed (width 1.60 m, length 2.10 m.) The 2 x single beds are in a sleeping loft, you go up with a wooden staircase. (There is a spacious kitchen, fully equipped. (No dishwasher) There is also a sitting area. In the house are games, no t.v. and basic Wifi.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation home is located right on the Westerschelde, where it is lovely to stay. Along the Westerschelde you can cycle and walk for miles. The largest sea ships pass by. The immediate area around the campground is farmland, which is used for arable farming. Many different crops are grown. (Wheat, barley, potatoes, onions, flax, beets, carrots, grass seed, etc.) The views both over land and the Westerschelde are beautiful. A wide variety of birds can be spotted both in the campground, on the Scheldt and in the fields. The interior is authentic with winding dikes, traditionally built by the monks. You see many old dike houses in the landscape. Lovely for quiet cycling or walking tours. In the immediate vicinity is also the beautiful nature reserve "the land of Saeftinghe" with its salt marshes and mud flats and a beautiful visitor center. The fortified town of Hulst is also pleasant. The walk around the fortress is beautiful.
