Nature house in Barret de Lioure

In a one-acre garden on a dead-end road stands this spacious bell tent (20 m2/ diameter 5m), comfortably and colorfully furnished, with a good double bed, a seating area, lighting and electrical outlets. The tent is in the shade for much of the morning. Upon arrival, the bed is made and towels are provided. There is a large covered outdoor kitchen with refrigerator, electric stove and complete kitchen equipment including tea towels etc.. And a separate building with hot shower, sink and compost toilet. In total there are max. 2 tents; they share laundry and cooking areas. (Almost) everything is homemade with recycled materials. The garden is enclosed with trees and shrubs, there are scattered shaded areas with sitting and hanging spots, inviting you to do nothing. Many animals live in the natural wild meadow: butterflies, bees and other insects, snakes, mice, badgers and many birds (e.g. cirlgors, vultures, bee-eaters, hoopoes).

So for nature you don't have to go far: you're right in the middle of it. At night, the vineyard hawks, dwarf owls and night swallows sing and the eagle owl calls above your tent. The starry sky is unsurpassed. The garden overlooks Mont Ventoux; all around, the mountains are more lovely, with many hiking trails and mountain bike routes. For example, from the garden you can walk up the mountain along old paths to the picturesque Barret de Lioure. There is a supermarket, a bakery and several restaurants at 5 minutes by car in medieval Montbrun-les-Bains, there is a market every day somewhere in the neighborhood and in summer many flea markets. Activities include: cycling, mountain climbing, swimming in the river, paragliding.
