Nature house in Oosterwolde

Regarding the cottage, see above
Regarding the park:
- The lake was absolutely not suitable for swimming!!
- There are no other facilities (even though that’s what was advertised) -> The restaurant looks neglected
- No waste separation for organic waste; the waste collection area didn’t look well-maintained
- Little privacy; the chalets are quite close together
- Maintenance of the park’s green spaces: fair/adequate
- Park access: well-organized with a card reader
- Helpful staff member when we had a minor issue with access

- het meer was absoluut niet geschikt om in te zwemmen!!
- er zijn geen andere faciliteiten (hoewel dat zo wel werd gebracht) -> Het restaurant ligt er verwaarloosd bij
- geen scheiding van afval wb GFT, de afval-inzamelplaats zag er niet verzorgd uit
- weinig privacy, chalets staan vrij dicht bij elkaar
- onderhoud van het groen op het park matig/voldoende
- toegang van het park: goed geregeld met zo'n paslezer
- behulpzame mevrouw bij klein probleem met de toegang

We had a wonderful time in Oosterwolde.
The cottage was well-equipped, but best suited for two adults and two young children.
Thanks to the beautiful weather, we spent most of our time outdoors, which was lovely.
The garden surrounding the cottage did look a bit overgrown.
Screen doors are a must in this area!
A screen door at the entrance to the chalet (in addition to the other screen doors already there) would be a nice addition!

Wij hadden een fijne tijd in Oosterwolde
Het huisje was van veel gemakken voorzien, maar wel meest geschikt voor 2 volwassenen en 2 jonge kinderen.
Door het mooie weer verbleven wij nu veelal buiten en dat was prettig
De tuin rondom het huisje zag er wel wat verwilderd uit
Horren zijn in deze omgeving onmisbaar!
Een hordeur bij de ingang van het chalet zou (naast de andere horren die er al zijn) wel wenselijk zijn!

It was a very nice chalet, inside you have everything that you might need. The only thing we were a bit upset about is that the nature swimming spot was a lake but it looked quite dirty to swim in. We mainly chose the place because of the swimming opportunity but in the end we went to an outdoor swimming pool, which was a short drive. Other than that, everything was perfect, very clean inside, quite enough space in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher which was very handy. I think there was also a washing machine but we didn't use it. We checked in and checked out by ourselves, that was convenient. Parking is literally in front of the chalet. Highly recommend (if swimming is not crucial).

Nice cottage with lots of appliances, spacious enough for 2 adults. Quiet and beautiful terrace with pond. Very convenient that there is a spacious garden house for storage of bikes and fishing equipment. Very good shower! Because of the windows with ventilation strip also good lighting. One minus point, the sofa could be better. The cottage is directly surrounded by trees and shrubs, offering plenty of privacy and shaded areas.

Leuk huisje met veel toestellen, voldoende ruim voor 2 volwassenen. Rustig en mooi terras met vijvertje. Zeer handig dat er een ruim tuinhuis is voor de stalling van fietsen en vismateriaal. Zeer goede douche! Door de vensters met verluchtingsstrook ook goed te verlichten. Eén minpuntje, de sofa zou beter kunnen. Het huisje is direct omgeven door bomen en struiken en biedt hierdoor voldoende privacy en schaduwplekken.

Very quiet area with varied very open landscape ( immense fields of farmers) and also many forests and nature reserves. Wonderful bike rides to make through nature with top cycling roads. Oosterwolde is nearby, with a nice shopping street, pleasant center and enough supermarkets for food. You can really enjoy the variety of nature here, the beautiful and well-kept sights. We already did many different vacations in the Ardennes (Belgium), France. This vacation was one of the best we ever experienced! Ah yes, and also this, the people here are open, very friendly and helpful. we will come back next year!

Zeer rustige omgeving met afwisselend zeer open landschap ( immens grote velden van boeren) en ook veel bossen en natuurgebieden. Prachtige fietstochten te maken door de natuur met top fietswegen. Oosterwolde is dichtbij, met een mooie winkelstraat, aangenaam centrum en voldoende supermarkten voor voeding. Je kan hier echt genieten van de verscheidenheid in de natuur, van de mooie en verzorgde bezienswaardigheden. Wij deden al veel verschillende vakanties in de Ardennen (België), Frankrijk. Deze vakantie was één van de beste die we ooit beleefden! Ah ja, en nog dit, de mensen hier zijn open, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Wij komen volgend jaar terug!
