Nature house in Grub - Sankt Gallen

Everything you needed to cook for yourself was there. But I usually ate at the local pizzeria, which I can definitely recommend because of the friendliness of the staff and the owner.
Tall people have to duck a bit on the top floor, or they’ll bump their heads. But that also made the whole place feel very cozy.
If you like mountains, I can highly recommend this house. It was perfect for my road bike and MTB tours. The hike to Heiden via the shortcut suspension bridge was also great.
It’s not very far to the Fünfländereck either. From up there, you have a magnificent view of Lake Constance. You don’t even have to go up the Pfänder (or through Bregenz) anymore.

Es war alles vorhanden, was zur Selbstversorgung benötigt wurde. Ich war aber meist Essen in der Pizzeria im Ort, die ich auch auf Grund von Freundlichkeit der Bedienung und Besitzer durchaus empfehlen kann.
Große Menschen müssen sich im DG etwas bücken, da es sonst Beulen am Kopf gibt. Aber dadurch wirkte alles auch sehr gemütlich.
Wer Berge mag, dem kann ich das Haus nur empfehlen. Für meine Rennrad und MTB Touren war es perfekt. Auch die Wanderung nach Heiden über die abkürzende Hängebrücke war auch sehr toll.
Zum Fünfländereck ist es auch nicht sehr weit. Von dort oben hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf den Bodensee. Da muss man gar nicht mehr auf den Pfänder (und durch Bregenz durch).

There’s a unique sense of peace in this area—apart from the usual sounds you hear on an alpine pasture: cows. For me, it’s the perfect starting point for my bike rides. The house is located at 850 m.
The conversation with the owner before my departure was also very, very pleasant. It was really interesting to learn so many new things about the house itself.

Einzigartige Ruhe in dieser Gegend. Abgesehen von dem was man auf einer Alm so hören kann. Kühe. Für mich der perfekte Startpunkt für meine Radtouren. Das Haus liegt auf 850 m.
Das Gespräch mit dem Besitzer vor meiner Abreise war auch sehr sehr angenehm. Es war wirklich spannend noch mal viele Dinge zu erfahren über das Haus selbst.
Frühstück mit Bodenseeblick: Was will man mehr.

Wonderful hosts! We had some trouble with our car and Bert and Riet were incredibly helpful (taking us to and from the garage, translating). We took trips to Rorschach, St. Gallen, and Wasserauen by bus and train.

Geweldige gastheer en gastvrouw! We hadden pech met de auto en zijn voortreffelijk geholpen door Bert en Riet (halen en brengen naar de garage, vertalen). Met bus en trein hebben we uitstapjes gemaakt naar Rorschach, St. Gallen en Wasserauen.

Detached house with a beautiful view of Lake Constance. The spacious garden, featuring a hammock, lounge chair, patio, and balcony, offers plenty of options for relaxing in the shade or in the sun. A walking trail leading to the forest and a suspension bridge run right alongside the garden.

Vrijstaand huis met prachtig uitzicht op de Bodensee. Ruime tuin met hangmat, ligstoel, terras en balkon geeft veel opties om in de schaduw of in de zon tot rust te komen. Wandelpad richting bos en hangbrug grenst aan de tuin.

We had a fantastic time.
We were welcomed with freshly baked bread, homemade jam, and butter. There was a bottle of ice-cold water in the fridge and fresh flowers on the table.
Shutters on the windows kept the sun out.
That made it very comfortable inside.
There were plenty of brochures for various hikes and other outings.
A comfortable bed with a choice of pillows, a thin summer blanket, or a warm comforter.
The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a good meal.
A lovely garden to relax in, whether in the sun or out of it—whatever you prefer.
If we had any questions, we could send a text message, and we’d get a response right away!

Een fantastische tijd gehad.
We werden verwelkomd met een vers gebakken brood, eigengemaakte jam en roomboter. Een fles ijskoudwater in de koelkast en verse bloemen op tafel.
Luiken voor de ramen hielden de zon buiten.
Daardoor was het binnen goed te doen.
Genoeg folders van diverse wandelingen en andere uitjes aanwezig.
Een heerlijk bed met keuze uit kussens, dun zomerdeken of warm dekbed.
Alles was aanwezig in de keuken om een goede maaltijd op tafel te krijgen
Een heerlijke tuin om te relaxen, in of juist uit de zon net wat je wenst.
Voor vragen konden we appen, dan werdt er gelijk gereageerd!
