The cabin has a simple standard, as usual for Norwegian cabins. There is a kitchen with electric furnace, a fridge, a breakfast table, and a sink without running water. Drinking water is available from the gas station at the E6, a five minute drive from the cabin. At the cabin there are jerrycans available for transporting drinking water. There is a small living room with a couch, a table and a wood stove. There is a bedroom with a two person bed and a bunk bed, both in a separate alcove but not separated from each other with a door. The cabin is located 9 km away from Oppdal in the forest. A stream borders directly on the garden and gives a very relaxing atmosphere. It is 30 minutes by car to Kongsvoll, where there is an entrance to Dovrefjell National Park. In Dovrefjell there is ample opportunity for hiking, to take a guided tour, and to possibly see musk oxen, moose, or reindeer. In winter there is a lot of snow and temperatures down to -20 are normal. The road to the cabin is cleared of snow in winter, but not all the way to the cabin. In the immediate vicinity of the cabin there are many opportunities for cross-country skiing on prepared tracks, or for downhill skiing on the slopes in Oppdal.

Nature, peace & environment:Lovely quiet place, surrounded by nature and yet stores easily accessible. Beautiful surroundings beautiful hiking. Good starting point for trips to eg Trondheim. Toilet and shower takes some getting used to but is fine.
Heerlijk rustig plekje, midden in de natuur en toch winkels goed bereikbaar.
Prachtige omgeving mooi wandelen. Goede startplaats voor tochtjes naar bv Trondheim.

Prachtig huisje, precies waar we naar op zoek waren. Alleen zijn met natuur om ons heen, blauwe bessen uit de tuin en baden in de beek. Natuurlijk wel even puzzelen met buiten-douche en geen stromend water, maar dit zat voor ons niet in de weg. Het huisje is zeer comfortabel en het is duidelijk dat er liefde en aandacht in gegaan is.
