The nature house looked neat, well-maintained, and compact, and had been left that way by the owner, who, incidentally, wasn’t there and whom I didn’t see either. One downside, in my opinion, was that it was located near a main road where traffic regularly whizzed by. Next to the cottage was a house occupied by a couple who were at least 80 years old. They spoke exclusively in the Swedish dialect known as Smaland. This is incomprehensible to the average foreigner. I didn’t see Clinton at all, and the key was there—in a key box secured by a code, which was communicated exclusively via email.
Finally, the lake shown in the photos was nowhere to be found. Swimming wasn’t an option, and showering was only possible using the hand pump described. That worked just fine, by the way.

Het natuurhuisje zag er netjes en verzorgd en compact uit en was ook als zodanig door de eigenaar achtergelaten, die overigens niet aanwezig was en ik ook niet gezien heb. Minpuntje vond ik dat het dichtbij een doorgaande weg lag, waar wel regelmatig verkeer langs suisde. Naast het huisje stond bovendien een woning die bewoond werd door een echtpaar van minstens 80 jaar. Zij spraken uitsluitend in het Zweedse dialect, Smalands. Voor een gewone buitenlander is dit niet te begrijpen. Clinton heb ik verder niet gezien en de sleutel was wel aanwezig, namelijk in een sleutelkastje achter een veilige code, waarover uitsluitend per mail gecommuniceerd werd.
Tenslotte, het op de foto's getoonde meer was ook nergens te bekennen. Zwemmen was er niet bij en douchen ging louter met beschreven handpomp. Dit ging overigens prima.

For this price more than you can expect. Really top notch. And Clinton as host responds quickly, friendly and relaxed.

Voor deze prijs meer dan je mag verwachten. Echt top. En Clinton reageert als gastheer snel, vriendelijk en ontspannen.

Simple beautiful cottage. Outdoor seating nice on a deck. No running water feels a bit like camping, but the hand shower (just pump up the pressure yourself) did fine. Close road, but it is very quiet, so you are really in the wonderful silence.

Eenvoudig mooi huisje. Buitenzit fijn op een vlonder. Geen stromend water voelt een beetje als kamperen, maar de handdouche (zelf even de druk oppompen) deed het prima. Dichtbij weg, maar die is wel heel rustig, dus je zit echt in de heerlijke stilte.

Fine place and everything very well done. Fine toilet and you can shower with a shower sprayer that you can fill with hot water. Highly recommended! You walk right into the woods with your dog. Clinton is a top landlord!

Fijne plek en alles heel goed voor elkaar. Fijne wc en je kunt je heerlijk douchen met een douchespuit die je kunt vullen met warm water. Aanrader! Je wandelt zo het bos in met je hond. Clinton is een top verhuurder!
