Our luxury vacation home is located on the border of Friesland and Drenthe, right on the water, with a beautiful view of the Goudmeer. This home is nestled in the heart of nature, in a small, intimate park. Surrounded by the Fochterloërveen and Drents Friese Wold nature reserves, it is a true paradise for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. The house is spacious, modern, comfortable, and cozily furnished. There are two bedrooms, each with two single beds featuring top-quality duvet mattresses. The on-site parking is ideal. The house has underfloor heating. The kitchen is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. The beautiful waterfront location is unique. The partially covered terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy the view. For anglers, it offers a great opportunity for an interesting catch from the deck. If you would like bed linens and towels, you can rent them for €12.50 per person. However, you are also welcome to bring your own.

This nature house is ideally located for exploring the surrounding natural area. Cyclists, hikers, birdwatchers, and nature lovers will find plenty to enjoy here. The Fochterloërveen nature reserve is just a stone’s throw away (500 meters) and is known for its population of European cranes, which breed here in large numbers. The Drents Friese Wild National Park is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands and features sand drifts, forests, heathland, and stream valley grasslands. The historic prison village of Veenhuizen is just around the corner and is definitely worth a visit. The surrounding area is densely forested. Appelscha, Roden, Norg, Eelde, and Zuidlaren are charming towns to visit, each with its own sights and great places to eat. A visit to the Wadden Islands is also quite doable. The cities of Assen, Drachten, and Groningen are also easily accessible from Oosterwolde. There are various enjoyable cycling and hiking routes in the area. You can also enjoy excellent fishing, with an abundance of different species of fish.
