In the beautiful nature of the Frisian Woods lies this small-scale nature campsite. Extra large green fenced places with a beautiful view of the water or the meadows where horses, and sheep are. At dusk the deer and hares emerge. Here you come to rest and hear mostly bird sounds. There are only a few camping spots, so lots of peace and privacy. At the campsite is a bread and breakfast service, you can rent mountain bikes ( 17,50 per day) or join a pilates yoga class (7,50). At the campsite there is a large pond, a forest strip and fenced dog play area. Pets are welcome and are allowed free of charge. The site has electricity, 6 ampere.
Nature and surroundings
The Frisian Woods is not yet so touristy and therefore just right for peace seekers and nature lovers. Nature reserve Lauwersmeer is nearby. You can swim in lakes in the area. Walking and cycling routes directly from the campsite. Public transport and stores within walking or cycling distance. And cozy cities like Dokkum and Leeuwarden are nearby.
