Nature house in Cadrieu

The biggest draw is the setting. The cottage is perched on a mountain, in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. If you ignore the enchanting birdsong, it’s wonderfully quiet here. No sound of traffic or airplanes in the distance, no leaf blowers, no neighbors watching soccer. Nothing but peace and quiet. And besides the numerous birds, a dormouse or a roe deer occasionally stops by. Meanwhile, high in the sky, you can see birds of prey gliding on the wind.
And if you set your glass of wine aside for a moment, you can simply let your weary body slide into the pool from the terrace, and all your worries melt away like snow in the sun.
The vast Quercy region, the unspoiled nature, and the nearby villages are breathtakingly beautiful, and there are—for example, in Cajarc—plenty of restaurants to ensure you’ll never be bored when it comes to dining.
And when you retire to your bed at the end of the day, tired but satisfied, you can spend a moment marveling at an unparalleled starry sky.

De grote troef is de omgeving. Het huisje ligt op een berg, midden in een prachtig natuurgebied. Als je de betoverende vogelconcerten buiten beschouwing laat, is het hier heerlijk stil. Geen geluid van verkeer of vliegtuigen in de verte, geen bladblazers, geen voetbalkijkende buren. Alleen maar rust en stilte. En behalve de talrijke vogels, komen ook af en toe een eikelmuis of een ree op bezoek. Ondertussen zie je hoog in de lucht de roofvogels over de wind glijden.
En als je je glas wijn even aan kant zet, kun je vanop het terras je lome lijf gewoon in het zwembad laten glijden, en alle beslommeringen verdwijnen als sneeuw voor de zon.
De wijde omgeving van de Quercy, de ongerepte natuur en de nabijgelegen dorpjes zijn wonderschoon en er zijn - bijvoorbeeld in Cajarc - voldoende restaurantjes om je ook op culinair gebied nooit te vervelen.
En als je dan aan het eind van de dag moe maar voldaan naar de bedstee trekt, kun je je nog even vergapen aan een ongeëvenaarde sterrenhemel.

To be honest, I don’t really want to write this review at all, because before you know it, you’ll all want to go there and I won’t be able to book it a second time. Because you can bet we’ll be coming back here.
This is, without exaggeration, a phenomenal vacation home. The house itself is modern and comfortably furnished and equipped with every convenience, including air conditioning on both the ground and upper floors for comfort on hot days. But even when the weather isn’t so great, it’s a cozy little cocoon to retreat to with a thrilling book or in front of the big smart TV.

Eigenlijk wil ik deze review helemaal niet schrijven, want voor je het weet willen jullie hier allemaal heen en kan ik geen tweede keer boeken. Want reken maar dat we hier terugkeren.
Dit is zonder overdrijven een fenomenaal vakantiehuis. Het huis zelf is modern en comfortabel ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, inclusief airco op beneden- en bovenverdieping voor comfort op hete dagen. Maar ook bij minder weer is het een gezellig coconnetje om je terug te trekken met een spannend boek of achter de grote smart-tv.

quietly located beautiful and spacious house. neat and clean pool with beautiful views of the area. excellent base to explore the area and the entire LOT region in all areas (hiking, sightseeing and typical local hospitality). always pleasant contact with Gerard, the owner for us definitely worth repeating

Top location. Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace and quiet, but occasionally wants to go for a walk or villages nearby.

Top locatie. Een aanrader voor iedereen die van rust en stilte houdt, maar af en toe ook een een wandeling wil maken of dorpjes in de buurt.

Great. The cottage is pre huig decorated, full of love and attention. You feel right at home. Everything is there to air conditioning. The pool is large and great for cooling off. Around there are terraces with always beautiful views. There is plenty of attention to the guests who are certainly welcome. Beautiful and quiet area with plenty of opportunity for hiking, there is a walk right past the house. But also walking to the village for a delicious lunch. Do you want peace and quiet? Then you are in the right place. The owners live a bit further on. Do you want contact is no problem, if you do not want, that's fine too. This is house is definitely recommended!

Geweldig. Het huisje is pre huig ingericht, vol liefde en aandacht. Je voelt je gelijk thuis. Alles is aanwezig tot airco aan toe. Het zwembad is groot en heerlijk om in af te koelen. Rondom zijn er terrassen met altijd prachtig uitzicht. Er is volop aandacht besteedt aan de gasten die zeker welkom zijn. Mooie en rustige omgeving met veel gelegenheid tot wandelen, er loopt een wandeling vlak langs het huis. Maar ook lopend naar het dorp om heerlijk te lunchen. Wil je rust en stilte? Dan zit je hier op de juiste plek. De eigenaren wonen een stuk verder op. Wil je contact is dat geen probleem, wil je dat niet, is dat ook prima. Dit is huis is zeker een aanrader!
