This house has been family owned for 60 years. And since 2010 working again as a winery. You can stay on our property and feel like a wine farmer, but without the burdens but with the pleasures. Around the farm is 150,000m2 of forest and 15,000m2 of vineyard. For the enthusiast, we have Merlot, Cabernet Franc , Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon planted and make red wine and rosé. The property is located in a valley where it is deafeningly quiet. Not bothered by traffic or tourists. You live here together and in nature with lots, deer, badgers, hares and birds around you. Waking up here is a delight. Getting fresh croissants in Castelnaud and having breakfast.... swimming in the pool or going to the river. Nothing must and at lunch on the terrace rosé of own property where you overlook the vineyards. In the loggia in the afternoon you can dream about a life as a winemaker. In the evening at a long table with family and friends enjoying the food and red wine from our own vineyard.
Nature and surroundings
The domaine is located outside the village of Veyrines-de-Domme. And Veyrines is located in the southernmost part of the Dordogne department. The department is named after the river where further down toward Bordeaux are the best vineyards in the world. The larger region is called Acquitaine. And it used to be called the Perigord Noir here. You still come across that term a lot. Despite the Domaine's remote location, there is a tremendous amount to do within a 20-minute drive. From golfing and canoeing to the best restaurants, hikes and caves. Markets with truffles, walnuts and the best chicken you've ever tasted.
